It really started to hurt spurrier towards the end of his career and other schools were using his age against him.

Saban has 10x the energy at 70 than Spurrier ever had

Saban looks like he could be 55. I forget he's as old as he is.

However old he is in 2040.

Spurrier never liked recruiting when he was younger, so you have to factor that in.
I think Saban truly enjoys the evaluation and salesmanship of recruiting. His enthusiasm for it belies the age factor, IMO.

Saban beat covid in two days, then caught it again and beat it a second time. Dude is immortal.

God help yall if scientists discover the fountain of youth.

Saban could recruit a top 10 class from 6 feet under. He picked up Jojo Earl with a 2 minute call on signing day.

Penn State went 11-2 and finished in the top 10 two years in a row when Joe Pa was 82 and 83 years old (beating LSU in the 2010 Citrus Bowl 19-17 LOL).
Saban is young for his age. I wouldn’t worry til he’s late 70s. Personally I think he’ll compete for championships for as long as he wants but I think a couple more of them and he’ll hang it up. Probably about 75, six seasons from now. Just my opinion of course. Hell, who really knows. The man is driven af.

I think he will when Mrs. Terry tells him it's time.

Eventually they will, but it won't come soon enough to save the Boomers.

Saban isn't human. He truly is the G.O.A.T.

People are different and who really knows
how advancing age does or will affect an
individual---but Spurrier never had half the
drive as Saban. When you see Saban chewing out
somebody's arse when he's 40-points ahead in
the closing seconds of a game, tells you all you
want to know about the man.
