Nebraska is pointing out that they had pushed back the series twice due to Tennessee's request but the Vols weren't willing to do the same. I wonder how true that is
That might be true, but even if it is, it wasn't because Tennessee is afraid of a Nebraska juggernaut. It's not the 1990s anymore.

I don't know WTF is going on with ESPN BPI. Mizzou is still at #32 after this game. At this point it feels like Mizzou could beat Auburn by 40 and still not move up in BPI. Something about BPI just hates the way Mizzou plays.

Good game Mizzou. Congrats.
That was hard to watch as an Alabama fan. This is not a knock against Missouri. But allowing 59 points in the first half against a team that averages 82 points per game is just lack of effort and/or focus. The most points Missouri has scored in any other SEC game is 83 points.
Mark Sears scored 35 points.
When your point guard scores 35 points he isn’t being a point guard.
You might want to recheck those box scores.

Mizzou with just one point less than the combined Arkansas/Auburn score at halftime. I can live with that.

Not even BPI is that down on Mizzou. They have Mizzou finishing roughly 21-10.
Even then Mizzou is basically one win away from being a lock.
Looking at each individual game, BPI has Mizzou favored to win in only 1 of their final 7 (at home against South Carolina). Every other game is predicted to be a loss.

Wow, that's embarrassing.

I've not met anyone that considers BPI superior to KenPom, Torvik or EvanMiya. And if I ever do I'll assume they are somehow getting paid by ESPN.
ESPN finally rectified their train wreck of BPI based projections, at least. They had Mizzou with a 90% chance to dance even before tonight.
Sure, but they exist all the same. And they predict Mizzou to finish the regular season 1-6.

To be honest, I don’t think Mizzou is sneaking up on anyone.
If ESPN fielded its own basketball team they'd be totally blind sided because BPI hates hates hates Mizzou.

Is Hugh Freeze the source of all their problems? Or was hiring Hugh Freeze a symptom of deeper problems?

It's dinner. Who the frick eats in a "supper room"? Weirdos. I eat in a "dining room".

Is this the 1940’s where the free world is still fighting the evil commies? Try to keep up. Those people have so little power that they shouldn’t even be on your radar. The real enemy is the 1% worlds most wealthy who want to take your retirement and subsidize their own portfolios and hide behind “free trade.”
Yeah, they have very little power. They're not going to overthrow the government. That doesn't mean they're harmless. Those communist groups in Austin are basically cults. Cults are bad. They frick up the minds of the people who get sucked into them.

One year in the SEC.
Didn’t win it all.
Ready to quit.
Never change, longhorn.
Texas fans are also talking about kicking Vandy out of the SEC. Texas hasn't even been in the SEC for a full year and they're already talking about kicking out a founding member of the conference.
This is the attitude and energy Texas brings. A well-run conference competes on the field, but cooperates off of it. Texas is different. They'd stab anyone in the back for as little as an extra nickel.

Can we make this happen yesterday? Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Another dumb arse with a politics-addled mind.
Texass created its own network and demanded unequal revenue distribution. If you're so much better than everyone else, then you should go independent like Notre Dame. Leave everyone else the frick alone.

Is Mulkey someone the whole world should know? I've never heard that name before.

Good jab, but they actually shored it up. What would it have been without the revenue they generated?
No SEC team in the finals was a major factor, along with fan displeasure of the direction of the sport. Plus, some big revenue programs having down years. I also wonder how NIL Collective donations might be negatively impacting reported athletic revenue numbers.
Yep, revenue would have dropped even more if Oklahoma and Texass hadn't been added. Adding them was obviously a good thing if money is what you care about most in life.

Like that matters
Alabama, Georgia, Texas all watching Illinois make more money means Vanderbilt and Missouri are on the chopping block.
It's going to feel like you're back in the Big 12, very soon, Missouri.
Not even a full year in and Texas is already talking about kicking out a founding member of the SEC. This is the arrogance and selfishness Texas brings that destroys every conference it has ever joined. Texas is poison.
