It matters how bad the team pulling the upset actually was.

All are horrible losses, but in Arkansas' case Toledo was actually at least a decent team. ULM not so much. Citadel is probably the worse loss of all, but in reality they had a shify little QB and ran the 'bone to perfection. I'd say the ULM loss was the worse of those three.

Wasn't that the term used because any coach who lost to Croom generally got fired at year's end?

Another LSU fan who can't get over Saban's departure.

This is true but a terrible one at that. The 96 Tennessee team was loaded and found a way to lose. I was 13 at the time and I can still remember how mad I was following this game.

Toledo went 10-2 last year. It's fun to make fun of Arkansas for losing to them, but it doesn't come close to being one of the worst losses ever by a SEC team.

They were a very solid team last year. Still no excuse though.

Yeah, it's a bad loss. But losing to a 10-2 MAC team isn't nearly as bad as pretty much every other thing listed.

The one pass attempt added insult to injury.

However GSU is no slouch with their offensive scheme. Very hard to prepare for the triple option.

What sucks is that we outgained them in total yards by a good margin iirc

I remember saying to my brother that there was a good chance we were going to lose after that botched snap on a punt in the first quarter. I knew we weren't prepared/focused when that happened

In 2012, Auburn lost to Georgia 38-0, Alabama 49-0, and Texas A&M 63-21.

In 1950, Auburn lost to Wofford and Southeastern Louisiana.

In 1934, Auburn lost to Birmingham Southern.

Memphis is 2-1 all-time against Auburn.

Yep, of course many refuse to look at things like that.

Auburn 3 State 2 has to be mentioned.

Really, we all lost by watching that game.

The 3 worst, in the post-1992 era, have to be

- 2013 : Georgia Southern over Florida (7-4 team, 4-4 in the SoCon)

- 2004 : Maine over Mississippi State (5-6 team)

The 2015 Citadel loss was bad for South Carolina, but that was a Top 15 1AA team and South Carolina was miserable.

The 2010 Jax St team went 9-3 and finished ranked #8.

Alabama, Georgia, and A&M were probably the three best teams in the country that year.

For Georgia, losing to UCF and Colorado in 2010 was pretty damn embarrassing.
