I've lived in Austin since the late 90s. It was awesome when I moved here (cold beer, and you could have open beer in the car) and was pretty good through the 2000s.

The last 3-5 years downtown has gone to crap quickly. I've had a few knives drawn on me, had to intervene between homeless folks yelling insults/catcalling at ladies and base downtown is nowhere near as safe or fun as it used to be (even pre-covid).

tldr Adler is horrible.

He played in the NFL for a few years and may be a work in progress. I didn't think our lines looked particularly well coached under him -- but that could have also just been our overall offense in general was bad so it's tough to evaluate.

He is one of the coaches we wanted to get rid of though (if Moorhead had stayed and had to make staff changes). He's supposedly a good recruiter.

Clone wars first.

It's a slow build, but really fills out Anakin and Obi-wan as well as a lot more of the universe.

IIRC Dave Filoni oversaw this, and imo he should be in charge of the Star Wars universe direction (like Kevin Feige is for Marvel).

As a plus, the clone wars episodes are short, so are easy to sandwich in :)

Herman's schtick could work if they were winning.
But they didn't, so he is basically done.

The epitaph for his tenure at texas will be, we had one of the best qbs in the history of texas and didn't win crap.

Also.. LSU fans keep laughing at the t-sips because Coach O is a hell of a lot better than Herman, and is being paid almost half as much..

I remember the Austin talk about how everyone laughed about how they stole herman from lsu... who is laughing now? Hell Mensa needed a last second FG to beat Kansas.

The only reason I watched this game was to see who was going to mess up more. I thought it was going to be us, particularly after a penalty on the first play of the game.
