Will that be announced after the SEC Championship game?

Lol, I hope we roll them Saturday but seems like a great guy.

Brent Venables

I don't know a lot about him other than that he was very successful as a defensive coordinator at Clemson. I just watched his press conference and he seems like a really good guy.

A Dline's advantage can be taken way in several ways. Math is math. I've watched it for a couple of decades in the BIG XII.

I'll say this our secondary will have to be better than last year for sure. We were 64th in yards allowed and that won't get us in the cfp. I do like our matchups in the trenches and I do think it will be a good game. If Jackson Arnold is given a long time to throw then OU will put up a lot of points for sure.

What adjustments can you make for a secondary?

A dline that doesn't give Jackson Arnold a second to throw can definitely make up for a bad secondary. FYI I'm not talking trash in any sense either because I've always been the first one to say our secondary is very suspect I think it will be a very good game.
A team that you are ranked lower in the polls and a team that you're significantly worse in the trenches against. Now OU is better at LB and DB but to say you aren't worried is foolish IMO. I think it will be a very good game.

We should win but that doesn't mean we necessarily will win. We have been in two very close games and in both of those games we should have won by multiple scores.
I'm a Tennessee fan and even I think the all orange uniforms are hideous.
Tennessee
Realistically I think we'll probably go 8-4. Worst case 7-5, best case is 9-3. Offense will be really good but we are thin at RB. Have to get better at short yardage situations as well.
Defensively we'll be better but I don't think we could be any worse last year. 3rd down defensive was one of the worst in the country and we have to get some pressure on the QB without blitzing LB's.

One Guarantano and one RB.

Think they can at least cover back door with Corral.

I can see that happening.

Second two I dont. Kentucky will do exactly what Arky did. Low scoring affair.

This is the one I'm most worried about. I do think Bama covers at -24 unless they just put in their 3rd string or something.

Also, I think the weather screws you in the Kentucky game. State may struggle in the rain.

Very good point, it's saying about 40% chance of rain at game time.

My four best bets this week

Posted by tennfanatic on 10/9/20 at 12:03 pm
- Tennessee vs Georgia Under 44.5
- Florida vs A&M Over 59
- Alabama -24 vs Ole Miss
- Mississippi St vs Kentucky Over 59.5

These are my four picks for this week. Curious to see if the rant thinks I made good bets or not. I think weather will play a big part in a lot of these games this week.
First time I've ever heard of someone losing a finger to a folding chair. Very weird!
Honestly I'm more mad because we outplayed Florida the whole game. I think Travis Henry had like 200 rushing yds but Fulmer always played conservative and settled for field goals all game. You couldn't do that against Florida.
