The funny thing between the Ole Miss LSU rivalry is the dynamics of each side. Ole Miss represents the Old South aristocracy that was successful a long time ago and still wants to sing Dixie while LSU is the modern poor trashy southerner that works in a factory. The funny thing is both Louisiana and Mississippi are poor dangerous states with little going on except obesity, racism, and gang violence

There is nothing aristocratic about Ole Miss. They like to call themselves the "Harvard of the South", but they have a 100% admission rate. Wearing a sport coat and a bow tie and driving a used Lexus to campus on game day doesn't make you an aristocrat. They're frauds, and I'm convinced the majority of their cars get repoed in the off season.
