Having covered a few, you look in the dictionary under “the pits,” you will see the Liberty Bowl.

Sees like it’s rainy and dreary every year for their bowl game, which doesn’t help.

Memphis isn't a bad trip if you live close and the game is during the day hours.

I grew up thinking I'd never see the day where Birmingham is a better bowl city, as well as a better city to visit, than Memphis but the day is here

And why is it Shreveport, LA?

Shreve isn’t that bad, they have some good restaurants and you’ll always get a B52 flyover.

The day after Christmas is depressing enough, but waking up in Detroit the day after Christmas seems like a special place in hell.

Detroit

Detroit is indoor and has pretty nice restaurants, cheap flights, casinos and high end hotels.

I’d vote for these options:
Montgomery: cold, outdoor, bad hotels, crime and no real airport
Shreveport: not much happening there and miserable weather
El Paso: difficult to get to and not a great town
Memphis: cold, not much to do, crime

I have enjoyed watching some of the Birmingham Bowls....they had some good games.

Its always a bonus when Auburn goes to the Birmingham Bowl

The game was moved to South’s new stadium so that helps. Plus the MAC team fans eat up the Mardi Gras parade and seafood down here. Bowl folks do a pretty good job for visiting teams and fans.

Wtf is wrong with El Paso.

It's awesome.

Beautiful scenery. Great town. One of the coolest stadiums and campuses in the country.

Juarez is not El Paso. It's always rated one of the safer cities.

Not being a dick, but have you been?

I did multiple temporary assignments there and loved every bit of it. Have been trying to get stationed there since 2012

As for bowls with nothing to offer, Charlotte is pretty lame.
