Wtf is wrong with El Paso. It's awesome. Beautiful scenery. Great town. One of the coolest stadiums and campuses in the country.

This is wrong on so many levels. Beautiful scenery my arse unless of course you like rocks and dirt. The Rio grande isn’t grand at all it’s a frickin ditch. Blazing hot summers, freezing cold winters. So much wind you get beautiful dust storms that make it like living in a got damn sandblaster. Even the locals call it hell paso. frick west Texas.

Places like New Orleans.... too dangerous to go out

I grew up 60 miles away from NO and used to go a good bit. I hadn't been in 5-6 years and was starting to believe the negative rhetoric. I went for a long weekend a few months ago and had a blast. Maybe it was lower expectations, but it felt the same as always.

With the new stadium in that uptown district in Bham, this bowl absolutely does not belong on this list anymore.

If it was still at Legion Field, that would be a different conversation.

Don't forget there is a bowl game in December in Boise, Idaho. Boise is lovely, but not in December.

I had the displeasure of attending a Game in Shreveport once and I swear it was like they were surprised a game was going to ba played. It was such a clusterfrick leaving that several guys got out of their trucks and overruled the 2-3 cops trying to direct traffic. They couldn’t give a frick. Even coming in they tried to have a shuttle bus route with 2-3 buses for 10-20k cars. Simply unacceptable

Grew up going to the game every year with my dad and some of the coldest football games I’ve been to have been the Liberty Bowl

Can’t remember the years, maybe ‘91-‘92, but I remember going to two Liberty Bowls back to back that were Ole Miss and Miss State both playing Air Force. Coldest I’ve ever been at a football game besides maybe the Alabama/Va Tech Music City Bowl, but that one want as cold it was just cold and rainy

The Liberty Bowl was Bear Bryant's last game.

I remember the look on his face during that game in that fricking weather.

A look that said wtf am I doing here?

Anyway, Bama thankfully won and carried the old boy off the field.

I remember the old Blue-Gray Classic for Seniors not in bowl games. Went away when it got not politically correct to bring back sides of the Civil War. Don't remember the stadium but it was rather small. That was back when you could make "a Chevy last 10 years like it should" (in my best Merle Haggard voice).

Went to the ‘95 Independence Bowl. Great game because LSU won but one of the coldest games I’ve ever attended. Shitty weather, shitty stadium, shitty town. Nothing to do in Shreveport back then. I’ll let others comment on how it is these days.

100% right. Alot worse places at this point. Memphis and Montgomery for sure...haven't been to Shreveport recently so no idea if it has improved with age.

Went to the Liberty Bowl to see Ole Miss play Air Force probably around 92 or 93.
Coldest football game I’ve ever been to. Hand down.

Liberty in Memphis. Pack heat if you get outside the 3 block area with police and security for visiting fans.

Nowhere is colder than the Liberty Bowl. There are eskimos watching that game on TV glad that they're not in Memphis, Tennessee.

Because we have NOLA levels of crime without NOLA levels of shite to do.

Seriously I live here now and while it's a nice place to live (away from the city) it's a HORRIBLE bowl destination. There's no real fan fare or activities other than our mardi gras crew passing out cheap plastic beads off the bus..... just making it feel like discount NOLA. Independence stadium is also the other side of town from downtown in a run down abandoned area.... it's just...bad
