I think most everyone has just gotten the message that people are sick of politics on Facebook. I never see political posts on there anymore.

This was my struggle when I started using a CC for everything. Then I just started paying it off every week. Now I just pay it off every payday.

Been that way for several years now. Some card readers still require a PIN though if they recognize the card as a debit card.

Everything I’ve read say the complete opposite and the report is as flimsy as the Steele dossier.

It’s not in Alabama. The one majority black district has around 50% of Alabama’s black population in it. It’s pretty clear what state lawmakers did because they didn’t want it lose an R seat, and there are still portions of the VRA intact. Alabama republicans should have been smarter with how they drew the districts, but Alabama gonna Alabama.

That’s a Portland, OR place. I know there’s one in Austin, but they started in Portland.
And yes, Tillamook ice cream(also from Oregon) is better than Blue Bell.

I’ve started at both, and my actual room at The Flamingo was nicer than at Paris. The Paris property overall is certainly nicer though.
Pretty sure The Flamingo had just renovated when I stayed there though.

Wasn’t he the one that also blamed Hurricane Katrina on gays? I don’t really pay attention to televangelists so it may have been a different one. They all suck and make a mockery if religion.
re: I was gifted a lot…a LOT of Pepper Jelly. What to do with it?

It’s pretty good on a burger with pepper Jack cheese, but you also need some bacon to counter the sweetness.
re: Anyone going through an existential crisis?
Posted by TomJoadGhost on 6/8/23 at 4:40 am
Maybe not existential, but the older I get the more disillusioned I get with the ways of the world. Maybe it’s just my world, but greed, vanity, and dishonesty are rewarded at the expense of honest, humble people. Maybe it’s because I’m witnessing it now where I work where one of the most honest and good men I’ve ever worked with is getting pushed out by two evil, greedy, power hungry men that should have long ago retired(they’re both late 60’s, early 70’s) I’ve lost a lot of motivation to work and losing pride in my work over it.

Trump may one day rue the day he decided to run for president. Turns out you can’t run the Executive Branch like your crime syndicate businesses and get away with it.
re: Are there any brands/places that you truly boycott because of what they advertise or sell?
Posted by TomJoadGhost on 6/7/23 at 10:50 am
Not really. I don’t buy Nike products because I’ve found their quality to be crap, but I wouldn’t call it a boycott.
I boycott a few local businesses because I know the owners and don’t much care for them.

If tennis courts were being used regularly and now you have to split time with pickleball I can see that being a source of tension.
That is exactly what was happening at the local park I used for tennis. It’s why I joined a tennis club. That park has since built 6 pickle ball courts so that tension has subsided somewhat. They still use the tennis courts if the pickle ball courts are all occupied, but they’re supposed to vacate if tennis players show up.

I didn’t expect this to be so divisive
I’m a big Tennis player(USTA rated 4.5) and it’s been a very divisive topic for a few years now. Local parks have started to finally build dedicated pickle ball courts instead of using tennis courts. I played a tennis match a few weeks ago at a park that had 8 tennis courts and a dozen or so pickle ball courts. Every court, Tennis and pickle ball, was being used.
As a tennis player, it is annoying to play on a court that has been marked for pickle ball. It’s also annoying to play Tennis next to pickle ball players. They generally don’t follow etiquette protocol.
re: Arnold Schwarenegger doesn't believe in Heaven
Posted by TomJoadGhost on 6/6/23 at 9:03 am
Heaven is a man made construct created to make us feel better about the fate of our departed loved ones. It’s a better thought to think they’re in heaven rather just worm food in a plot of land across town. In older times it was used as a tool of control. Do these things to get into Heaven, or else you’ll end up burning in hell!
