What's your plan OP? Grand Prismatic is like a 2 hour at most thing outside of doing another hike.

Family just wants to see the Grand Prismatic. We've seen other parts of the park and it's going to be slammed so ok with just seeing that then heading to Jackson early to spend the day there.

Thanks for the info!

West Thumb Geyser Basin is nowhere near Grand Prisimatic. West Thumb is by the lake. Grand is in the Midway Geyser Basin. Parking at West Thumb usually isn't terrible to get a spot.

Thanks for the clarification!
How's the parking at West Thumb Geyser Basin (Grand Prismatic) and what time should we arrive on Friday July 3rd to get a spot?

And how long do you think a straight drive (very few stops/pullovers except traffic) will take from here to Jackson Wyoming?

I'm sure it will be slammed and lots of traffic since it's one of the busiest travel days in the park. Thank you!
The absolute shite show of fans getting to and getting into MetLife stadium.

We are leaving tomorrow for the Kenny Chesney show at the Sphere. Staying at the Palazzo.

Make sure to visit the KC Experience inside the shopping area at Palazzo.

We stayed at the Palazzo last year for his concert and it was the perfect spot. Great restaurants, bars and the inside walk from hotel to Sphere was a breeze.

I hope that’s not right for us. We just did that game two years ago.

I don't disagree but I took my son to that game. Chapel Hill, their basketball museum and watching a game in the Dean Dome was a great experience. We also had a ton of fans there. Hearing "Roll Tide" echo throughout that arena in the final minute was awesome.

A trip all Bama basketball fans should make if they can.

Make sure you take a drive up Logan Canyon Rd while you're there. It's beautiful. Hell, drive up to Bear Lake if you have extra time.

Thank you for the suggestions! We'll grab lunch at Prodigy then drive the Canyon Rd. on our way to Driggs.

Flying into SLC next week then heading north.

Any good lunch spots on or near USU's campus in Logan? We want to grab something quick to eat then walk around Utah State's campus. Thanks!

Any posters remember this abduction story from 1973 on the Pascagoula River?

quote:

They told the police and the media that the 3 aliens were tall, with leathery grey skin and long claws. One had no neck, while another appeared more ‘feminine’. They had no eyes, just a bizarre bump on their face and only a tiny slit for a mouth. The aliens approached the two men, grabbing them by the forearms and pulling them onto the hovering ship. Some reports indicate that Calvin fainted due to shock, leaving Charles alone to deal with the situation. Once on board, Calvin claims that a bizarre ‘eye shaped’ object subjected him to intense examinations. The aliens did not hurt the pair, nor did they conduct any tests that would have harmed them.

quote:

Captain Glen Ryder admitted, “We did everything we knew to try to break their stories.” The pair were subjected to lie detector tests and intense interrogations. The Sheriff’s Office even admitted to secretly recording the pair during their interview. At one point, the officers left the room and kept the recorder rolling, hoping to catch the pair in a lie, but they didn’t. Not once did Charles and Calvin stop talking about the terror and fear that had been struck into their hearts. Their stories remained consisten.

quote:

In 1974, Charles Hickson reported 3 more alien encounters, although it is unclear whether these were the same aliens that abducted him on the Pascagoula River. His son, Eddie Hickson, confirmed that the encounters were peaceful, and his father’s message to the public was clear “We are not alone in the universe.”

Definitely visit the Bonfire Memorial near campus. Not sure if Kyle Field is open, but you should try to walk inside if it is.

Dixie Chicken for a beer. Republic Steakhouse for dinner.

Not sure if you've already booked a hotel but the TAMU Conference Center is great. Right next to Kyle Field and has a rooftop pool.

Looking like a 2:30 kickoff
Kids loved it and it was nicer than I expected.

Just get there right when they open so you can grab a table and avoid the crowds. I wouldn't spend all day there but tolerable for a few hours.

The kids liked the amusement park too but it gets hot as hell. A few hours is plenty

Did you ski? How were the crowds around town? We're headed out next week

Also, any talk of the resort closing soon?
