The QB pulls out a chair and hits the center with it. Then he proceeds to rip his jersey off and underneath is the opposing team's jersey. Straight WWE style.

5th Down.

Punter fumbling the ball to be returned for a game winning TD as time expired.

Kick Six.

Craziest thing I can imagine in a game would be the losing team falling short of the goal line on 5th down as time expires only for the refs to call it a TD, resulting in that team winning and going on to tie for a national championship.

For me it's 7 OTs played after a QB spiked the ball on 0:00 in regulation and had an illegal formation ON THE SAME PLAY.

2016 Tennessee-Georgia with back to back dueling hailmarys as time expired will forever be up there on the crazy list.

A field goal kick going through the uprights perfectly centered and above the goal posts and then 1 foot before crossing a gust of wind blows the football backwards as if it hit a brick wall.

It happened in the egg bowl.

No he hit all the important points.

Besides LSU could write a book of all of their clock management woes that the rant has enjoyed over the years.

Could or Has?

I imagine a game where one team wins 8-7 where one team gets 4 safeties and the other runs a fake FG int back for a TD.

Or a game where both teams score on every drive, but only FGs.

Or a fan runs on the field, gets an INT and runs it for a TD... And some ancient rule on the books allows it to stand.

Or a kickoff gets returned 99 yards, is fumbled, and THAT is returned 100 yards for a TD.

Auburn's Kick 6 and the onsides kick by Alabama vs Clemson both stand out as "holy shite" moments.

ball carrier going in for a touchdown with nobody between him and the goal line, fumbles the ball, and it bounces straight down the sideline for 20 yards, as if it has radar, then out of the back of the endzone for a touchback. Way more bizarre than a missed field goal that is run back for a td.

This is what I was going to post. Nothing else can compete with this.

A go-ahead 37 yard field goal by Oklahoma State near the end of the 2011 OSU-ISU game being called no good when in actuality it was over, but inside the left goalpost. This incorrect call changed college football as we know it.

LSU has been involved in both recorded instances of that ever happening. Wild.

A defense flopping to the ground so the Offense could get ball back so QB could break NCAA record

I've seen some insane stuff over the years...
LSU punter getting called for taunting, negating a clear TD was something.

As I remember it, there was a game where a team decided to run the ball for a score rather than kneel and run the clock out for the win. Handoff was fumbled, recovered and run back for the winning score by the defense.

I also remember LSU playing at Ohio State and having a big lead, only to have Ohio State rally late. Near the end, LSU had the ball and a 7 pt lead, and had to punt. They chose to take an intentional safety instead (bringing the game to under a TD), then let Ohio State run the free kick past midfield. OSU scored a TD to win.

Giving up a blown coverage to lose the game is bad but not incredibly crazy. Living in Louisiana, being a Saints and LSU fan, and watching that happen to BOTH the Saints and LSU, in the playoffs and bowl game respectively, within a few days of each other... that was crazy.

A team scores with les than a minute left to go up 1. They line up for the 2-pt conversion. The pass is picked off and returned all the way and the 1 point lead is flipped

This happened to the Falcons in 2016. I believe it was the Chiefs and Eric Berry.
