That's not likely the reason!

There is something more to this story and everyone, except GA fans, know it.

GA fans want to say he thought he wasn't going to get the starting job, PLEASE! Do they think he was worried about losing the #1 spot to 2 guys who are not even cleared to play?

GA fans being GA fans!

No QBs are cleared to play with contact right now.

The rant is really flexing its understanding of how football teams practice these days.

Your only basketball coach to ever actually win anything left Arkansas because he said you are all racists....

Every football team is toxic, there are plenty of pissed players on every squad who get their feelings hurt.

Nature of competition.

Who are you talking to? Kirby doesn't need defending unless he is your daddy or something.

Please go ahead and reply with posts talking about how we're screwed without Newman, and ignore your older posts talking about him being a scrub from Wake Forrest, you know, before you found out he was opting out.

We will never know if he would have been any good so it is a moot point. The point that remains is many UGa fans saw him as an integral part of the team's success in 2020.

What exactly was the "toxic enviroment"

What? The only projected starter to leave "unexpectedly" was Newman. The only reason some think Fromm was "unexpected" is because he had a bad year. I think almost everyone expected
his exit if he had a similar year to '18.

Fromm shocked the UGA fan base by foregoing his SR year. Many were pleasantly surprised but almost all were surprised. Fromm never had a good QB year. His stats reflect a 14 game season because UGA had a good run of RBs and D. His per game stats were pedestrian at best. And UGAs inability to find and hire a replacement OC after Chaney should make most UGA fans pause. Saban is a dick but coaches line up for a chance to be on his staff. Kirby, post Chaney (and he bailed quickly) have promoted a recruiter that wasn’t an OC and hired a journeyman WR coach with very limited play calling or QB coach experience. One guy they wanted picked Miami, another stayed at Kentucky, another choose Alabama. Why would that be the case? SPOILER: Kirby is toxic to players and staff. His players quit, sit out bowls, leave early, and the coaching world avoids him. He is Butch Jones with a better record

Fromm beat the frick out of UT every time he played them, beat UF every time he played them, beat Tech Everytime he played them, won a Rose Bowl, a Sugar Bowl, and if not for a blown coverage a NC.

There would be streets named after him in knoxville and half state would name their newborn boys and girls Fromm in Tennessee.

Kirby should have known that Newman was not a SEC quarterback! Wasted a spot for him! Many SEC fans were questioning of getting Newman to UGA and saying he is not a SEC quarterback or a top quarterback. That is on Kirby Smart!

Well hell if so that means UGA is in better shape than before....GO DAWGS!

You had a Heisman finalist in your QB room and used him as a wildcat QB

Fields was Heisman finalist in Ohio State's locker room...in UGA's locker room he was a backup to a proven starter. Fields has not won a playoff game and has come within a gnats arse of winning a national title. Dude is a generational talent at Ohio State, for whatever reason he was not at UGA. It could well be that he was simply a better fit at Ohio State....team sport and all of that....

That's the way it works sometimes. I never understand why Fields chose UGA given the offense at the time other than the pressure to stay in-state.
