It is incredible how quickly they managed to ruin football once they sunk their teeth in. There is almost nothing in common with this game than the game of 10/15 years ago. Glad some rich people got paid though, totally worth it.

Doubtful but nothings off the table in CFB. After yesterday I don’t think a lot of VOLS fans would be super upset, but we’d be totally screwed if he bailed this late in the cycle. Unless….

Wasn’t Saban publicly calling for letting Lane stay through the playoffs even if he took the LSU job? They may not be super high on him right now. But we are in unknown territory so who knows

Outside of a few odd years (Ernie/Bernie, for example), VOLS didn't have a very good basketball history prior to Pearl. But the subsequent 30 years of being a good/great program helps the VOLS reputation substantially, especially considering recency bias.
