I attended a Valdosta State/Fort Valley State game during a tropical storm. It was supposed to be televised by the NFL Network, but their camera crew couldn't make it due to their flight getting canceled.

My mother had made matching VSU cheerleader outfits for my daughter and her doll, and there was no way I wasn't taking her to the game.

It was a steady rain during the first half, and she sat in my lap covered by a poncho the entire time. It stopped raining at halftime, and she had a blast. VSU invites children onto the field after the game, and the cheerleaders all made a big deal over her outfit.

My dad took me to the game and he wanted to leave at the end of the 3rd quarter - we were cold and wet - I kept begging him to stay and so we got to witness the run - made the drive back to Huntsville much more enjoyable.

Nice job! He may not have admitted it at the time, but you know you made him proud drawing the line there.

Egg Bowls 2000 and 2003 come to mind, chilly downpours.

November 19, 1988 (Miami 44, LSU 3 at Tiger Stadium): Played through a steady, heavy downpour and high winds, LSU struggled to move the ball while Miami piled on 24 points in the final quarter to hand the Tigers one of their worst home losses.

Not a college game, but went to a Jacksonville Bulls game where it rained so hard that both teams had to move to the same sideline and the water was standing out to the numbers on one side of the field. Water ran down the seating like waterfalls.

The historic "Rain Game" occurred during Week 18 of the 1984 season (June 24, 1984) when the Jacksonville Bulls hosted the Pittsburgh Maulers at the Gator Bowl. Heavy torrential rains delayed the kickoff by nearly 90 minutes and completely flooded one sideline, resulting in an incredibly sloppy matchup featuring 12 fumbles.

Idk the year, as my father was a drunkard and could not get his life in check but the first game he ever took me too was sometime between 95 and 99 and it was LSU vs maybe Tulane? It was raining that game. It was a classic to me for other reasons outside of football

Bama / Georgia 2015

I remember also the blackout game being somewhat rainy the day of.

As far as basketball does, remember the tornado bearing down on the Ga. Dome in 2008? I remember seeing that tornado go across the sky. I was near the airport and saw it north from there.

Was this 2003 or 2004 maybe?

1988 LSU v Miami Hurricanes.

The rain half-filled up my 32oz cup containing a pint of smuggled bourbon. Miami tore LSU a new one, 44-3, and me and my buddy stayed for every snap. We were the only two left in Section 217 by the final whistle. That is some of the hardest rain I have ever seen and my team got pistol-whipped. I've hated Michael Irvin ever since. ...and bourbon with water.

I was there. A sophomore at LSU. I've never seen a QB throw so well in a heavy downpour as Steve Walsh did that night. I was sick before the game and getting soaked didn't help.

Ole Miss versus Arkansas 2014, pouring down rain. My wife, son and I were lucky we had seats underneath the hangover of the next section above us at Razorback stadium. It was my oldest son's first game as a razorback fan he loved it. We ended up shutting out Ole Miss I think 35 to nothing and Rohan games ran a 100+yd interception back for a touchdown.

Michael Irvin was with the cowboys in 88.

I came here to say that Miami game. Tigers got destroyed in a cold rainstorm.
It's the only game I ever left early.

I was at Bama vs Mizzou in Columbia in 2012. Cold rain the entire first half. After we went up 28-0 the lightening delay happened. It was a total slaughter
