Were LSU fans this cocky on here when they hired Brian Kelly?

I mean, Kelly had atleast gotten his team to a NCG in his career. Kiffin only rode Pete Carrol and Saban's coattails when he got to coach on a staff in a NCG. Guy has never sniffed a NCG as a head coach.
But as I was saying, were these corndog smelling bitches as cocky when they hired Grindin' Brian Kelly as their head coach as they are now with Queefin? Were they bragging that "LSU owns college football now because we hired Brian Kelly AWAY from Notre Dame?" They probably bragged and said they were bigger than Notre Dame. I also imagine they talked crazy shite when BK beat Saban on a 2 pt. conversion rather than go into OT.
The whole world got to watch how the BK hire flopped like a fricking fish out of water. Wait till Queefin goes belly-up like he has at every other pressure job he had as a HC. This site will go nuclear.

I remember they talked a ton of crap to the Gators because they had made the "better hire" and could pull a big name. In the end as you both had nothing to show for their tenure and while LSU was a bit better during the time, given how much each school ended up on the hook for I think Florida made the better, or at least the less bad hire.

If we’re honest, we had medium expectations with CBK because we just wanted the program on steady footing after O went crazy after 2019.
In all fairness, we probably expected at least an appearance in the playoff. In the end, we got burned by that leprechaun and hope he takes a job this next cycle so we can lessen the buyout.

Come on man, if we are being honest, Lane was the grand prize for any team looking for a coach last year and we got him. Any fanbase that lured him would be ecstatic right now. If you can’t admit that, then you’re simply being dishonest.
Regarding Kelly, it was a weird hire and I think most LSU fans felt he’d do quite well given what he’d done at ND. Most including myself thought he’d be better than he actually was. But if you are trying to say Kelly was as big as a buzz as Lane, you’d be wrong. Lanes hire has created twice the buzz within the program as Kelly. The vibe within the program is not even close when comparing the two.
