I just now watched this highlight reel of Dowd for the first time. Did ya notice around the 0:16 part of the video, he blocked the hell out of Chad Baker-Mazara's layup? That was the USC version of CBM.
I know it's a highlight reel video but Dowd seems to have a really nice all-around game. He has a nice flow to his game.

And if Coach O told you Alex Golesh's name, you wouldn't be able to understand him.
You don't know Alex Golesh's name because he isn't an egomaniac, like your guy Kiffin, who says and does stupid shite every other day just so his name stays in the headlines.

Lane Kiffin is a QB guru
The thing that gets me is how Lane Kiffin couldn't use his own eyes and brain to see that Trinidad Chambliss was a better QB than Austin Simmons. Lane had all of spring practices, fall camp/scrimmages to watch both QB's up close. He chose Simmons over Chambliss and if it weren't for Simmons injury against Kentucky, it's very likely that Chambliss never starts a game.
In yesterday's weekly presser, Kiffin said Chambliss has the best footwork he's ever seen from any QB he's ever coached and he said that's what first caught his eye when he watched tape of Chambliss at Ferris State. He said "he won a Natty at his previous school and nearly got to the NCG last year. His footwork is unbelievable and is the biggest reason the offense never played behind the chains last season, as well as Lacy at RB. Neither guys lose yards and it starts with amazing footwork."
My question since last year is how did Kiffin not see that Chambliss was better than Simmons? After all, according to LSU fans, Lane is the greatest QB whisperer to ever be birthed.
Jon Sumrall is the more tarded version of Gronk, Coach O and Ogre

I never thought someone could be an even bigger meat-head than those 3 idiots but Jon Sumrall just said "hold my special-needs, protective helmet."
I'm almost certain that Coach O, Gronk and Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds, all had a threesome one night and the result of that threesome was a special-needs lovechild named Jon Sumrall.

All I know is that their trophy case doesn't even have a lock on it. There's nothing inside it to steal. Well, unless someone found out a way to steal air. They did have Johnny frickup's Heisman Trophy on display but it wasn't in a trophy case. It was in a small glass contraption similar to a fish-bowl.

I was glad to see CBM leave Auburn. He was a really good player for us but as good as he would often be for the team, he would also go completely off the rails just as fast and he would hurt the team. Look no further than him getting ejected very early in the NCAA Tourney game against Yale and it absolutely cost the team the game. As soon as he was ejected, he went to the locker room and immediately tweeted out a laughing emoji on his social media like the immature dumbass he so often could be. He deleted the post soon after. It took everything Bruce Pearl had in him to just try to keep CBM somewhat focused and in a positive mindset while he played here at Auburn.
We all saw the drama and tension CBM could cause at anytime. Just my opinion but I never felt like CBM fully respected Bruce or anyone else for that matter. If he did, then he had a VERY strange way of showing it. Bruce is one of the best college basketball coaches of the last 30+ years and he still struggled with coaching CBM. So imagine how bad it would've been under Steven Pearl.
I fully believe if CBM was still on last seasons team, whatever bit of team chemistry the team built last year would've been torn to shreds by CBM's erratic bullshite and selfish attitude. Thank God he never got that opportunity.

Why is everyone so negative about our team tonight? Nearly every offensive player on our team, that gets the majority of reps, is from G-6 schools. Even our offensive coaches are mostly G-6 guys. They are going up against a G-6 program and beating them very comfortably. I was critical of our team last week but so far tonight, we've controlled this game easily.
Were LSU fans this cocky on here when they hired Brian Kelly?
Posted by Pat Dye 60 minutes on 9/12/26 at 1:46 am
I mean, Kelly had atleast gotten his team to a NCG in his career. Kiffin only rode Pete Carrol and Saban's coattails when he got to coach on a staff in a NCG. Guy has never sniffed a NCG as a head coach.
But as I was saying, were these corndog smelling bitches as cocky when they hired Grindin' Brian Kelly as their head coach as they are now with Queefin? Were they bragging that "LSU owns college football now because we hired Brian Kelly AWAY from Notre Dame?" They probably bragged and said they were bigger than Notre Dame. I also imagine they talked crazy shite when BK beat Saban on a 2 pt. conversion rather than go into OT.
The whole world got to watch how the BK hire flopped like a fricking fish out of water. Wait till Queefin goes belly-up like he has at every other pressure job he had as a HC. This site will go nuclear.

Posted by Pat Dye 60 minutes on 9/12/26 at 12:59 am to i am dan
The interior of both lines will need to get alot better.
Da'Shawn Womack got hurt against Baylor and last I've seen, he is "day to day." He's built like Tarzan but has a tendency to play like Jane. If the rumors are true that we spent $850,000 on this guy, well he needs to show up on the stat sheet. 36 career games and he only has 49 total tackles and 4.5 sacks. WTF?

That article is 100% truth though. Of those coaches mentioned, Golesh will face Siverfield and Sumrall this year. Golesh is 0-3 against Silverfield and 0-1 against Sumrall with Sumrall beating him 45-10.
If for some reason Golesh only wins 5 or 6 games this season and Sumrall has a good year at Florida, I wonder if that would get John Cohen fired?
It will be interesting to see which hire does best over the next few years, Golesh or Sumrall. Both Auburn and Florida are in very similar situations. In the playoff era (2014 - present) neither school has been to the playoffs. Neither school has won an SEC Title. Florida is 0-3 in the SECCG during the playoff era and Auburn is 0-1. Florida has had 5 head coaches in the playoff era, Auburn has had 4. In the 12 full seasons of the playoff era, Florida has 3 seasons with 10+ wins and Auburn has 1. Both schools have had 7 winning seasons and 5 losing seasons in the playoff era.
It will be fun to watch this play out. Hopefully, we made the right hire with Golesh.

re: Lane Kiffin Will Be President One Day
Posted by Pat Dye 60 minutes on 9/10/26 at 2:22 am to Lt. Columbo
Due to the enormous amount of pressure he would be under, he would absolutely suck as our POTUS. Everytime Kiffin has taken a head coaching job that came with alot of pressure, he has shite the bed. Lane wouldn't even be able to handle the pressure of President of Football Operations at a Power-4 school, let alone being the POTUS.
Kiffin has absolute come-aparts when Paul Finebaum or some local reporter in Mississippi serves up the smallest amount of criticism. Could you imagine what he would be like having to deal with the national news media and the political news leaders? Plus, according to people that have worked with him in the past, Lane is dumb as shite outside of football related stuff.
Kiffin is a Nepo baby, social media troll and lifelong frick-up who would be bagging groceries if it weren't for his Daddy getting him coaching jobs. They need to keep that egotistical, drama queen as far away from politics as possible.

re: The real issue LSU will have (refs)
Posted by Pat Dye 60 minutes on 9/8/26 at 10:17 pm to Vols98
It will shock me if the SEC refs give LSU any 50/50 type calls. That's where it's going to show up is on those plays. Alot of fans are talking about this very subject so the SEC big wigs won't be stupid and make it obvious. I don't think they will tell refs to just make blatant bad calls against LSU where it's so obvious because Sankey and others don't want to deal with all the media and shite-storm it would cause, on top of their shite-storm they've got going right now. I think it will be subtle but fans who know ball will recognize it.
I will say this, there was always the rumor going around that the SEC couldn't force a school to not hire Hugh Freeze back in to the conference but it was known that Sankey and co. didn't want Freeze back in the SEC. Then when Auburn hired Freeze, we started seeing alot of calls not going in our favor. I won't get into all of that but for 3 years that Freeze was here, that's the most calls that went against us in forever.
Same exact story when we hired Bruce Pearl during his show-cause period. Auburn seemed to always get hosed on alot more calls than ever before and it seemed to keep happening for the first couple years Bruce was here at Auburn. Then it swung back to being more normal type officiating in our games.
In my opinion, LSU will probably be on the bad end of ALOT of calls for the foreseeable future because Sankey and the SEC seem to be that petty.
