And how much do you think Texas paid the conference to have A&M and LSU travel there in the first season?

Getting A&M at home was probably part of the consolation package for them to play at Kyle Field in football in year 1.

Historically, you wouldn't chase the higher ceiling necessarily because 1 loss during the learning curve could ruin the season. That may start changing once the powers get more comfortable with the idea that 10-2 is fine
Can he pass block? Sometimes that's the somewhat hidden answer as to why a RB isn't getting more playing time.

From what I saw last year, that was why Josh Williams got so much playing time when it looked like Durham was much better at running attempts.
We'll go 9-3 with losses to Clemson and Alabama plus 1 more that we shouldn't lose like South Carolina or @Ole Miss
Are we going to let Frey prove for a 3rd year in a row that he can't hit SEC pitching next year too?
Probably Trey Cooley who was killed in 1991 at a gun range in Dallas

how is that in any way on Jay?

We used to have a tug on the jersey to confirm the call when I played. If the batter misses the call, then he doesn't confirm, and the squeeze is off and the runner doesn't get stranded

Yea and I want 3 Skenes and 9 Dylan crews.

Skenes may be a better catcher and could make sense at 1B so I'll take 5 Skenes and 7 Crews

Recruiting has gotten a lot easier.

You used to have to meet with a recruit that you wanted and been like "listen kid, we like you a lot but if you sign with us then we're definitely NOT going to have $250k / year transferred into your bank account in equal installments every month" wink wink

If you weren't a good recruiter then they might have thought you really weren't going to pay them and they'd go somewhere else.

But now you get to be like "listen kid, we like you a lot and if you sign with us then we're definitely going to have $250k / year transferred into your bank account in equal installments every month"

So it really eliminates potential confusion
I skied Chamonix in February. I loved it but the resort skiing wasn't the best. We went to St Gervais for a day and that was pretty damn good resort skiing

Does anyone else's fingers hurt?? Huh, I didn't think so.
Texas A&M became the first preseason #1 to lose 4 baseball games in a row in the first month of the season since 2009 Texas A&M so you have that going for yall as well
Yes. It does make sense though given their affinity for certain actions

I have a feeling Ali wasn't very popular with some of the TD crowd

I have some advice for Banff. The worst ski logistics I've ever seen was to Lake Louise on a record powder day. It dumped like 2-3' of snow at LL overnight a few years ago. We got in line for the first bus at like 6:30 am. We proceeded to sit in traffic for like 4 hours, we get off the bus and now have to wait 90 minutes for the first lift line. As soon as we get off the first lift, the line to the next lift is backed up to our off ramp. We weren't actually skiing until almost 1 pm. We should've went to Sunshine Village even though they got less snow.

There's also a pretty nice restaurant at the Fairmont in Banff if you don't mind spending a little on dinner.

My question - given I only have 5 days, would you consider Banff with the travel time it will take to get there from Houston (including customs and driving from Calgary airport)? It basically means I have 2 travel days and three full days to ski and enjoy the town.

I don't think Banff would be a whole lot different than Big Sky in this case. Maybe like an hour further of a drive but that's pretty minor.

Maybe my foot is just difficult (high instep with wide and square toe profile) but I've walked into stores before where I tried on all the different models they had and nothing fit. Even with as much as I know now, I still wouldn't try to buy online.

Even with a good starting boot, I'm still going to put in a custom liner and do a few punch outs on pressure points.

Need to find boots but that is probably a whole day of research LOL. May wait till I'm in CB so I can get fitted properly at a shop

Do not, I repeat, do not buy boots online. Either rent if you're not sure if you're in it for the long run, or go see a boot fitter and buy boots from them. It's not easy to get a great fitting boot and it can be torturous if you get it wrong. You can disregard this advice if you're planning on being a philistine/snowboarder
