Stop comparing UTw to Missouri. Texas has a long way to go to be as good as Missouri.

We expect Oklahoma to be competitive. We also expect Texas to be a bunch of liberal pussies and go 7-5.

This is one of the more laughable things I've ever read on here. OU might could have won the league in 2013. That's it, really. Texas wouldn't have even won a single division championship.

Dude…Missouri kicked TX azz when they played in 2011-two (of more?) touchdowns. And TX then proceeded to go 5-4, 7-2, 5-4, 4-5, 3-6, 5-4, 7-3, 5-4, 5-3 in the B-XII the years after MO joined SEC…

… for gods sake… what year was TX going to do better than about 3-5 in the SEC after MO left regardless of division?

Just stop…everyone is laughing… just….stop.

They didn't come close.

They won the East, which evidently anyone can do.

Texas wanting to be grouped in with OK. I don't remember anyone saying OU wouldn't come in an be competitive. But Texas? Not any time soon

Missouri went 12-2, 10-4, 8-5, 10-3 and 8-5 the five years before they joined the SEC. How is that a perennial doormat?

made me think. If a perennial Big 12 doormat like Misery can come into the SEC and challenge for conference championships, why do some of you believe that Oklahoma and Texas can't compete?

Pretty much a fluke. UGA crushed Mizzou 34-0 along with beating 3 other ranked teams by an average of 29 pts but lost to unranked SC and UF. Another CMR special and ended up being the beginning of the end for em.

I would've loved to see em play Bama had they been "on" for the SECCG

In 2013 we destroyed Ok State in the Cotton Bowl, the same OSU team that was a dropped interception from an outright Big12 conference title

Your actual Big12 champion (Baylor) lost to UCF 52-42

OU got lucky to play a despondent and distracted Bama team in that Sugar Bowl. When OU has played top SEC teams in games that actually mattered, they always lost (2003, 2008, 2017, 2018, 2019)

And Texas isn’t even on OU’s level. If Texas can’t surpass OU now, they’ll have no shot of winning a division title

2010 was peak Mark Richt.

UGA had the most players drafted out of all the SEC teams in the following NFL draft.

Underachieving was Richt's M.O.

As long as neither of those things are your goals, I don't see why Texas and Oklahoma can't accomplish the same.

Can we still talk s*** and act like we've won something like A&M?

In their defense they also won a couple of Big 12 north titles, which apparently anyone could do as well.

This. When UGA was on that year they were as good as anyone in the country. Maddening that they lost to SCar and Florida the way they did. Had as much to do with CMR losing his job as anything that happened in 2015 IMHO.

I think you are taking the term doormat a little too literally. The point was that they were never an upper echelon Big 12 team. They never truly competed for a Big 12 title. Did make a couple of title games in a weak division, same as SEC.

You guys point to our losses to ISU or KSU and laugh and assume we can't play in the SEC, yet Missouri and A&M were no better than either of those teams have been recently when they joined the SEC and both had some early success.

Had neither joined the SEC you would be pointing to a couple of OU losses to Missouri and A&M (over a decade or so) and claimed we couldn't compete. But you can't do that because both teams had some success in the SEC.

You don't get to claim that A&M and Missouri were good teams when they moved to the SEC and also claim that ISU is not a good team.

Despondent and distracted. Geez you guys are pathetic.

I understand from a Missouri or A&M perspective. You guys have always sucked so your only means of being relevant are to bump your chest in conference pride and claim if you were in another conference you would win it.

I guess that's close to, you know, actually winning it when you were in the other conference.
