Saban saw it. Sounds like Alabama wasn't their problem.

Joe Biden is more respected than Chip Brown (the writer). It's probably true on Billingsley but the Agiye Hall bit is horse shite. He may end up flaking out but he has kept his head down & been working hard since he got here.

That's good to hear. I hate to see talent wasted because a kid can't get their shite together when they've been given everything to help them be successful.

Sark said himself that Hall isn't a finished product, but he's seeing progress. The kid just needs to keep his head down and work.

Why would this surprise anyone?
If a guy's not gonna put out to play at Alabama, why would his sorry arse do so at a 2nd rate program? These guys were basically shown the door in Tuscaloosa, and if another program wants The Tide's wash-outs, they should expect what they get.

It is honestly amazing how bad Hall fricked up a perfect situation for him.

1. Wide open competition at his position

2. Heisman Winning QB returning

3. School that has put 8 1st Round Receivers in the NFL since 2010

Now it sounds like he’s fricking up an amazing second chance. Dude just doesn’t get it.

There is literally no better situation than Bama for Agiye Hall. Pretty much every starting receiving spot was an open competition, the team has a track record of putting receivers in the NFL, and they are returning the Heisman winner at QB. It doesn’t take a genius to tell that the dude makes poor life decisions

In the offseason, all of the talk was Hall knew he screwed up a good thing at Bama, and was working hard to make the most of his 2nd chance. He is so talented. I hope he pulls it together.

Texas took a lot of risks on transfer portal kids. We have to. When you've lost to Kansas twice in 5 years, and beating Iowa State no longer seems possible, it is time to take some risks.

I am confident Sark will be fired before next season. I hope our next coach can make it work with Hall.

Could be that these guys suddenly got "woke" in Austin and that is messing them up. Because everybody knows that the only reason Texas isn't winning is because "woke"...

OR:

It would be that they got there and they just got all distracted by the magical wonders of Austin because everybody knows that for the players that aren't "woke" it's those Austin "distractions" that make them suck.

Now, when Sarkisian gets fired then it will because he and his coaches are lousy...

But until then it's "woke" or "Austin distractions". One of the other.

What are you blathering on about? Being woke has nothing to do with being able to play football.

Ricky Williams was by far the most woke dude I ever saw play ball and he was also one of the most talented running backs I have ever seen.

Austin + Woke does not equal lack of production.

If these kids are getting NIL cash it’s open season imo.

You don’t get to cash checks and also hide behind the ‘amateur’ wall of criticism.

Check it out, Chip Brown’s defense from 247 after the fans turned on him for reporting about the Bama transfers:

quote:

ChipBrown247 STAFF Posted on 6 hrs, “I stand behind the reporting 100 percent. My job here is to bring you all pertinent, timely, accurate information about the team. That’s what I’ve done. Those who have followed me know I work my **** off to bring you all the facts about what’s going on - even when it’s not what the fan base wants to hear. As for those parroting that a story I wrote about Tom Herman’s treatment of players costing Texas Nik Bonitto, that was what Herman’s staff told a few recruiting analysts. But when I asked Bonitto directly last year at Media Days if a story about Herman was the reason he picked OU, he said he didn’t know what I was talking about. I’m gonna shoot you all straight. Been doing this for 30 years. Sometimes it makes me an easy target. Comes with the territory.”

You don’t seriously think this , do you? You don’t think it may have been because they didn’t put in the work to be effective when called upon or maybe the stage was too big and the d was too good for them ?

I love that bk only took transfers from Louisiana or guys he or his staff knew well. It may not work out , maybe he should have just went bpa, but he didn’t and I’m glad he took guys that have a connection to the school
