Sadiq is a steal at 1.12.
I echo others that I think Branch was overdrafted, but the early 2nd round is hard this year.

Really cut down on his turnovers last season vs. his FR year, but didn't generate many assists for a PG that doesn't shoot much.
Fears was so ball dominant last year that it's tough to judge how he will play when he has the ball in his hands more often, imo. I think it speaks to his talent that they started him early in the year despite the questionable fit alongside Fears.

Anyone drafting a one tool player in the first round is a bit bullish on Curiel.
His one tool is the bat.
Good speed. Ok glove, Ok power. Unimpressive arm.
While I agree Curiel is not the type of freak athlete that tends to go top 10, the way you framed this is kinda disingenuous imo. I would rate 3 of Curiel's 5 tools average to above average (50+ on the famous 20-80 scale). Guys like that who have produced in the SEC at a young age and have good character makeup will always be in demand in the middle to back end of the 1st round.

I haven’t seen Green juke a defender yet Les. How much wiggle are you expecting him to have at 6’7 ?
Green is incredibly smooth for his size. You don't see Travis Kelce juking people out of their shoes like he's a scat back but his ability to glide past defenders is one of his biggest strengths, both before and after the catch.
Never seen Hudson play, but I think what Lester is saying is much more a compliment to Green than anything negative towards Hudson

This pitcher has gotten one out on a ball hit 400 feet to center. Maybe we should let him try to get our hitters out instead of making outs on the bases?

Terrible send. Jordan continues to demonstrate that he has no concept of *when* to be aggressive. Just HERP DERP SEND RUNNER MAKE DEFENSE EARN IT

He indeed was a die hard LSU Fan
His actions don’t really show this- he could have committed early to LSU but didn’t. Instead he’s had like 3 different out of state schools rumored to be leading his recruitment.
Which is fine, he’s allowed to look at all his options. And LSU looked at their options and decided they wanted another guy who is a damn good QB who knew where he wanted to be.
re: Ashton Larson batting .299 with Texas
Posted by DallasTiger45 on 4/21/26 at 11:11 am to PP7 for heisman
Larson is a solid player, but a guy putting up an .881 OPS with the majority of your production coming in non-conference is really not that special. Add in that he’s not a plus defender and you see why he’s moved into more of a situational role at Texas

Odell also really good at run after catch. Tyson is a catch and fall guy
Tyson was also playing banged up for a lot of his 2025 tape. But I agree, he's not as explosive as Odell. Few are.
I like Tyson on the Stefon Diggs/Davante Adams/Amari Cooper spectrum. None of those guys were really true weapons after the catch but they use solid size/athleticism + route running to win at all levels of the field.

Honestly if we go the Euro route for some of the squad I wouldn't hate it...The Balkan Boys at Illinois this year were pretty sick

Yea I think he’ll play in the big leagues
He likely won’t be a regular, but lots of teams carry guys who aren’t great hitters but can play very good middle infield defense. The switch hitting helps too

Saw an NC State baw on twitter acting like McNeil to LSU is done. No idea on his credentials, but didn't seem like the type to be fishing for engagement (shoutout Daigle and Herbert)

I say we make one exception. Jake Brown seems to have more success with a little air time. Other teams are using about 10 pull side infielders against him.
I promise that Jay is not telling Jake Brown to hit low line drives

It’s not just a 2026 thing. He consistently takes unnecessary risks.

He's not a good player *yet* but he would hardly be the first big man to take a few years to develop into one.
I'd like to keep him, all things considered. I could see him being a real defensive player with some development.

ALL Final 4 teams currently have true back to the basket Centers, they ALL average at least 10ppg.
Uh...no. Reed from Uconn is a true post player, you got that one right.
Michigan and Arizona will throw the ball in the post to Aday Mara and Montiejus Krivas when they have mismatches but the vast majority of their value is defensive, not offensive. Mara also does a ton of rolling and off ball stuff that ends up in lobs.
Tomi Ivisic from Illinois literally shoots more 3's than 2's. How can that be a "true back to the basket center"?

re: When should we expect to hear news of McMahon’s future?
Posted by DallasTiger45 on 3/13/26 at 8:20 am to TigahFan85
Y’all can act like I’m crazy for asking the question, but many schools have made statements saying they’re keeping their current coach and committing more money to the roster instead of firing him.
I don’t remember if they leaked it or made a public statement last year, but LSU sent out that same message at the end of the 2025 season.

The season is basically over, highly doubt we are invited to any postseason tournament with a 15-17 (3-15) record
I expect there will be a statement on McMahon’s future (one way or the other) soon - when are we thinking? Friday news dump today? Wait until we are officially passed over for postseason ball at the conclusion of the weekend?
