2019 Alabama was a total abortion of a season that had so much promise.
It started out with all of the season-ending linebacker injuries, a season-ending injury to our second running back, and then Tua gets injured right before the LSU game, which is lost after a number of flukey turnovers and mishaps, and then Tua has a near career-ending injury in the next game, and we end up missing the playoffs altogether for the first time.
A total disaster for a team that should've won it all.

2011 Oregon - returning as much as they did after the great 2010 they had, I really thought they would return to the championship game.
2011 Oklahoma - preseason No. 1 and won the insight bowl
2020 Penn State - I figured they would have at least been NY6 contenders and then bombed right out of the gate

2014 South Carolina - 3 years in a row in the top 10 then to go 7-6 and pretty much never recover.
I'm sure you remember the first game of that season... we made Kenny Hill look like a #1 draft pick that game.
That season was so painful to watch... had our best offensive year ever in the history of our program only for the defense to average giving up 400 yards and 6 TDs per game.
The 2013 team was a big disappointment too. Shitty game against UT in Knoxville that kept us from going to the SECCG. We beat Mizzou on the road that year in a double OT game but they ended up winning the division anyways because we had 2 losses to their 1.

It was one of Alabama's best teams, they just ran into the best college team of all time.

2012 USC Trojans
Started the Season #1 and ended the regular season with 5 losses and lost to a 6-7 unranked Georgia Tech Team 21-7 in the Sun Bowl.

2013 Georgia - Fresh off another SECE division titles and #5 finish, the dawgs get passed up by the Mizzou Tigers. Preseason #5 to 8-5. Richt would only last 1 more year.
Was an elite offense with potential to win it all, and then these guys got hurt:
Gurley
Marshall
Mitchell
Bennett/Conley
Scott-Wesley

My general mindset is that people exaggerate everything. I assumed everyone was being dramatic when it came to describing Legion Field. I went to a Birmingham Iron game and holy shite it was terrifying. It shocking to see my friends tires after the game
The last year they played up there I wasn’t going to go to the game since Auburn royally sucked that year but decided to go ahead and go the day before the game.
My wife at the time nor my dad wanted to go so I called a Bammer buddy of mine to see if he wanted to go and he said “Sure, as long as you drive!” I honestly had never had any problems up there so I said hell I’ll drive as long as you stay sober enough to drive us home and he agreed.
Fast forward to the end of the game that Auburn should have won but pissed away and we are back to the yard we park in and my buddy say “Whew, I’m glad it is here. Two years ago me and my brother went back to his car and it was gone and they still haven’t found it”

For Auburn, I would say 2003 and 2014.
For Alabama, 2000 for sure, but you could also throw in 2010.
Everyone but LSU fans saw their 2020 season coming. They replaced way too much talent and their offensive mastermind. Their shitty season was always going to happen despite what they thought would.

2010
In hindsight it was, but at the time it just felt like one of those normal "year after a national title" seasons that most programs have (even with the roster).

Started year at #10. Got up to #8. Lost to Louisiana Monroe. Finished with a losing record.
Yeah, and we had to watch poor John L. go through a prolonged nervous breakdown. I went through the Chad Morris error and I still say that John L. Smith was the most painful time in my lifetime to be a Razorback fan.

It probably was....before the season started. By the LSU game, it was a shadow of its former self.

1998 was more disappointing for LSU than 2020 because of COVID.

2008 UGA was definitely our most disappointing from expectations to end results. 2007 UGA probably irks me more, just due to the teams that we lost to that ultimately kept us from playing for the natty.

Not when you’re down to 3rd string QB/RB, you too 3 WR’s opt out

2016 Ole Miss- #11 preseason and blew tremendous leads in opener against Fl State and later against Bama
I remember that. Our Offense was sputtering half the game, but the offense and special teams scored 3 TDs.
Ole Miss was up 24-3 with just under 3 minutes to go in the first half. Alabama scored 2 TDs in those final 3, then scored the first points in the second half with a fumble return for a TD and like that, it was tied. Only one of those 3 TDs was on offense.

2019 Auburn?

Our 2010 team was pretty disappointing considering the talent. Dreadful offense despite every single starter being an upperclass blue chipper.
