Way too high. Michigan State was 100% fool's gold last season. I think he's a decent coach who caught lightning in a bottle with Kenneth Walker's magic carpet ride season.

There's no doubt they had a great season and beat a very good Michigan team. But I still can't get their thrashing by Ohio State out of my head. Ohio State was up 49-0 at halftime . . .

The presence of one WTF person on any list like this is the dead giveaway that it's worthless clickbait. Boomer-bait, if you will. Enjoy your new computer AIDS.

I still don't understand the Mel Tucker ranking at #2. He did not inherit a bad program. Actually, he inherited the opposite: a stable, talented roster where redshirts and upperclassmen were prioritized.

If anything, tPittBoss and Kiffin should be #1 and #2. We all know how bad Chad Morris was. Kiffin inherited a bad team coming off of probation, unlike Day and Tucker.

Hell, Aranda took over a Baylor program that, while on probation, still won 11 games the year before he became the head man (2019). Meanwhile, neither Arkansas nor Ole Miss had made a bowl game since 2015 when tPittboss and Kiffin took over.

I am going to be wondering why Kelly doesn't get his team ranked at the end of the year.

They had the worst pass defense in college football playing against an offense with three first round picks at WR and a QB who will be a top 5 pick. It was as bad of a matchup as there was for them .

The Big 10 offenses weren't good enough to make them pay for having such a bad pass defense so they were able to smoke and mirror their way to 11 wins.

Kiffin and Pittman both inherited programs in tough spots. Each coach has turned their team into a competitive program in just two years' time. Not sure how they aren't #1 and #2, with Dave Aranda at #3.

I've seen Auburn win multiple national championships in my lifetime, play for others, go undefeated multiple times. Trending downward for sure but at least I know the day will come when we will rise again, and by rise I don't mean peaking out at the Outback Bowl.

Auburn can’t recruit. No one wants to play for that redneck school not named Alabama. You got lucky with Cam, who was kicked out of Florida for theft. If you ever win another Natty, it will be by accepting kids who were expelled from their better universities for behavioral or academic issues.

I saw she just left the Auburn program.

Wonder why and where she is going.

Sounds like those rumors had some truth in them

Auburn has two football NCs. One in 1957 and one in 2010 so if you’ve seen meaning you actually saw multiple you are pushing 80 so I’m guessing your aide is typing for you?

actually like Pittman a lot, it's just a shame he's stuck at Arkansas.

This was Sam’s dream job, he’s not stuck anywhere.

He’s a perfect fit for our program.

Have to agree with Pittman at Arky. He's a hell of a coach and a perfect fit there. Honestly seems like he will stay there for years and get the most out of that program.

Aranada will get the most out of his players. If he can somehow start to get some top recruits they could be dangerous

Day has done well at maintaining what was built, but the others on this list started from scratch and that puts them higher in my book

Not at the moment, no.

That's rich coming from a Georgia fan who probably barks at people

You got lucky with Cam

Did we get lucky with Stan White? Jason Campbell? Nick Marshall (thanks BTW)!

You fricking idiots recruited him as TE.

Sure thing, spanky. Auburn will be back sooner than later and you know it.

I think Pittman will consistently have Arkansas at 8-4/9-3. Ppl expecting him to make a meteoric jump from 9-4 to competing for SEC Championships are in for a rude awakening. You don’t win this conference pulling in the 9th best recruiting class. The UGA-Arky game last year made this very clear. Two programs with similar strategies with hard nosed football except one has vastly superior talent = 37-0 UGA.

When you think of Pittman bringing Arky out of the abyss, it makes sense where he is at 1.

I haven’t seen anyone predicting this at this time. Even Sam smiles and rolls his eyes when folks talk about us competing for championships right now, he knows what championship talent looks like and knows he’s still got a lot of work to do.
