Kind of obvious stuff, but my main concerns are Leavitt avoiding dumb turnovers and baker getting the defense of the field on 3rd down.

I think it depends on Lane more than anything. If he stays aggressive and opens up his offense then my money is on LSU.

It'll be hard to run consistently with the crowd noise without our starting center.

It will also be easy for your DEs and blitzes to time our snap like rocky top did. Half of why they beat us was #2 folding our backup center and starting LG... the other half was they knew exactly when we were snapping and were firing off the ball like they were coming out of the blocks in a 100 meter

If I am Baker, I am blitzing the shite out of Keelon, and hoping that Grubb still hasn't installed any blitz beaters or quick throws or anything like that

I can assure you, with 2 weeks for Grubb to prepare, the offense will look completely lost and unprepared! I can't wait for our first possession where we turn the ball over or go 3 and out.

We can count on Grubb calling run plays up the middle on the first two downs of the game, then dialing up a "Keelon please go make a play" call on third and long.

I also look forward to running the ball for 5+ yards per carry for four or five plays with one going for 20+ at some point in the game and then not seeing a run called for the next 20 plays.

It's the quintessential Grubb experience.

So you're guaranteeing a win when they play Texas next week?

Grubb ain't running the ball in the 1st 2 series. If he does it will be one run in his oh shite better run one time to say he did it moment. Nah he's gonna throw our 1st year starting qb to the wolves again like he did vs Tennessee.

I am hoping that all important players are back for both teams.

I'm hoping the off week allowed TreyDez Green to get back to full health and hopefully Whit Weeks can be on the field too. I wouldn't expect him to play every down but he is such an important piece of what LSU does and is definitely the heart and soul.

2 incomplete passes and some kind of delayed run on third down. Works every time.

Sounds like lsu is getting healthy. Alabama is down several players. Home game for lsu. Lsu should win this game by 2 or 3 touchdowns.

Officially, it's a toss-up.

Weeks won't be 100% but if I were Baker I would have him ready for 3rd down situations, possibly 4th downs. I wouldn't play him until he is needed, but dress him out ready to go in.

think this is a terrible matchup for us, honestly. As you say, unless we magically transform back into the team we were four weeks ago, our best bet is for Leavitt to throw several interceptions to keep us in it. Barring that, this is one we could lose by 2-3 scores.

Just don't see Grubb scoring enough to keep up with Kiffin

We have so many injuries I don't even know who is going to be playing and/or how healthy they are if they do play.

No win scenario for LSU

LSU loses - Bama Is Better

LSU Wins - Because Bama has injuries and not full strength

If LSU doesn't win, then they are doomed to never beat Bama. This isn't a good Bama team, and Kiffin needs this win, especially with this rivalry going away and not getting Bama at home again for years.

All the pressure is on LSU

This.

This is not a very good team and all it takes to make it fall apart is pressure on the OL and QB. Bring pressure every down and Alabama's offense goes nonexistent. This is the year for LSU to beat Bama. Lane needs to take advantage of it.

What makes Bama "not very good" compared to the field? The Tennessee game was bad but I'm pretty convinced that UGA and Bama beat the shite out of each other so thoroughly that they were both running on fumes the next weekend. Really the only explanation I can come up with for UGA losing at home to a bad AU team, and Bama getting getting whooped by an average UT team.

We needed a bye, BAD, and I don't expect to see a Tennessee-like performance in Baton Rouge this weekend.

This. 100% this. First series will be 3 straight passes with the first 2 air mailed and a 5 yard pass to a TE and a punt. We might run it once in the first 4 series. If we are lucky Keelon breaks off a big run just to keep LSU honest when protection breaks down. It will be LSU 10-0 after the 1rst Quarter.
