These people rubberneck hoping to see something, then horrified and cannot unsee it when they do...

I too prefer my diamonds to be a little fricked up and stained with the blood of poor starving kids, the poo of shady smugglers, and the greasy fingerprints of diamond hoarding dabeers executives. Only the bloodiest of conflict diamonds in my household. That's what makes them special after all. Nobody wants one that's perfect and made in a machine in a controlled safe environment.

It's those little things that make it special. :pimp:

ok Mr DeBeers. you didn't want a perfect diamond! You want to pay more for cracks and imperfections You can't make this up

There is a happy medium with the 4 Cs. Wife wanted antique old mine cut, by definition there are imperfections because it’s done by hand.

So yes, I actually paid for some imperfections.

oh for fricks sake here we go. lab diamonds are real diamonds..except they're perfect every time and you dont have to dig them out of cow shite and tar.

Chemically same, but they are different.

There’s a certain charm about something coming from the Earth that took thousands of years to be made. The small imperfections have some character.

The Chinese can build a 1:1 copy of of Rolex, hell there are rumors that most luxury watches come out of China and finished in Switzerland. Yet we have no problems spending the thousands of dollars for the real thing.
Guy had 6 kids… sucks for them :(
Breitling is making some amazing timepieces right now, super ocean is gorgeous

100%, same with lab made diamonds
Here’s a fake with the “floating m”

There is an authentic one on the Rolex forum with it as well, must have slipped through the QC. I doubt there are very many.

We did a survey one time and the & of people that bought a watch for conspicuous consumption was less than 10%. That's an astonishing number. You'll never understand and that's ok too.

That’s like the survey that Rolling Stone magazine sent out and large majority of the the Rock Gods said the reason why they started a band was solely for love of music. I’m sure all those teenagers started bands in their mom‘s garage did it for the music not because to be cool, , the women, the attention and money.

People buy Rolex because yeah, it’s well built, and appreciates, that’s a given but more importantly because everyone will know they own a Rolex and see it on the wrist.

It doesn't need to be a Rolex, and if all you'd get out of having one is impressing other people than it's a colossal waste of money

Well, Rolex is a brand/ image company now, less of a timepiece /tool watch company.

Rolex is still king of them all.

Maybe it’s the major cities I visit but I see a fair amount of Rolex subs and Speedy’s on the wrists. Both extremely popular and probably the #1 and #2 luxury watches men purchase as their first luxury watch.
