The inclusion of his snarky comment at halftime is exactly the type of thing Spurrier would have said.

Spurrier did not go against the SEC and other schools. He talked trash about the games and teams and then backed it up(usually).
He was funny, he was witty and he was very much part of the club.
I don't want to speak for Leach, but I think he'd be pretty diehard against LSU. He appreciated people being cleaver and getting around rules that way. He didn't at all appreciate when people used bureaucracy and other methods to do things (such as using the courts). Something he was a victim of himself if you know his history.

This is what makes it all so fishy to me.. Sankey should have been on the phone with someone at LSU working this all out... behind the scenes, quiet and no media... But for reason's that goes against anything that seems appropriate, Sankey employs the flamethrowers which will ending up burning the whole house down...

This could be the domino that takes the Have's of the SEC (Bama for example) to the super conference and leaves the Have Not's of the SEC (Ole Miss/Tennessee) out
It will really be a domino type of effect. If the opportunity presented itself and one other school decided to go, it would be over for the SEC.
