That's just not true.

I'll have to try it. What are your thoughts on Tyler's in Amarillo? I've enjoyed it the most.

If you claim brisket as BBQ, then sure. I'm from Memphis and I lived in Texas for a couple years. Their brisket is good, but I'd rather have pulled pork or some dry rub ribs from Memphis any day of the week. Of course, I'm being a little biased

Glad someone brought this up while we are on the topic of overrated pork bbq.

Will do. Thanks for the heads up!

Georgia folks need not give their opinion on BBQ.
Brunswick stew is not good BBQ. It's what's left in the sink after BBQ dishes are cleaned.
I agree with the second part of your statement. You can still have an opinion on what good BBQ is. Pulled Pork is fine, but comparing it to good brisket is laughable.

Nope, brisket all the way

Haven’t had Amarillo BBQ. Just frequent spots in the Houston area and Hill Country area.
For Hill Country - Lockhart has some fantastic spots (Kreuz, Smitty’s, Black’s).
Also for Houston, the Pit Room In Montrose (try the Brisket Tacos). Killen’s in Pearland (Houston suburb) gets a lot of good press as well.

I just hate to agree with anything that comes out of your head these days, but when you are right, you are right. Mustard goes on one thing...a hotdog.

In my experience, Pinkerton’s beats Killen’s. Try that out if you haven’t yet.

Texas makes a fine smoked brisket. they do not do BBQ though.

Such a silly argument. BBQ is a way of cooking, not a certain type of meat.

Yall do know that "mustard sauce" isn't just mustard, right?

Truth In Houston is really good, too.
