Big 10 wants OU and Kansas. Big 12 is on the titanic but Boone Pickens U will have no options unless OU or Texas gives them a lifeline to tag along.

It's SEC or bust for these guys, and they aren't concerned about the Grant of Rights, as they believe the boosters can more than make up for the gut punch if and when they leave. Not to mention the revenue they believe they can generate locally.

It's not just a matter of OU foregoing a conference TV rights share, it would be the fact that any SEC games played at OU could not be televised under the SEC's TV deal for the duration of the GOR. The SEC isn't going to send teams into a TV black hole. So, even if OU were to be of interest to the SEC (which I'm skeptical about), it won't happen until the GOR expires.

Enough with the Big 12 rejects already. We're not running a charity.

I thought the insufferable prick David Boren said the SEC didn't meet the academic standards for Oklahoma. Also, not a big deal for football but to add a school that distance away would be terrible travel pains for minor sports; soccer, T&F, volleyball, etc. I don't see it happening nor would I want it to.

People said that about you and mizzou at some point I'm sure. I wouldn't doubt anything anymore. They could get Oregon and put them in the SEC east and I'd be slightly surprised.

The East was down last year and Mizzou won 1 SEC game.

Did he say that?
I hadn't heard.
I know Utex and its fans 100% think that way.

Until you get beat by them in the first sport you play them in. Then you will say you want to trade Oklahoma for Louisville or some other school. Revolving cycle of things LSU fans say.

OU has had a standing invite from the SEC since expansion and that invitation still stands today. We were the target during the first expansion, and we'll be the target if there's a second expansion, not watered down turd programs like shitty North Carolina, NC State, or useless Virginia. That's laughable.

The Big X does not want OU. They accept only AAU schools for membership.

Nebraska lost their AAU status after becoming a Big X member. Kansas is an AAU school but they accept 97% of applicants. They are weak academically compared to the other Big X schools.

At this point I'd rather just have one big arse 32 team conference.

Add OU, Texas, SMU, Houston, Tulane, UVA, Va Tech, UNC, Duke, Memphis, Southern Miss, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Clemson, East Carolina, West Virginia, and a frick you to the Big 10 w/Notre Dame and Cincinnati.

Have four 8 team divisions, a 4 team semi final, and a final w/an auto bid to the playoffs.

Boom.

If Oklahoma joins there better be an essential autobid to the playoffs for a two loss SEC team
