As I said, we already have one. Why should we "thank our lucky stars" for an invite to the SEC?

The idiots running your school would trade their left nut and the papers for their doublewide for an SEC invite. If they actually had a chance for an invite, your BOR would be lined up to clean Sankey's knob. The Aggies are a cash cow for the conference and have enough alliances to block you.
Why don't you get on the Houston or Memphis board and talk up your league and please leave us alone.

It's not just a matter of OU foregoing a conference TV rights share, it would be the fact that any SEC games played at OU could not be televised under the SEC's TV deal for the duration of the GOR. The SEC isn't going to send teams into a TV black hole. So, even if OU were to be of interest to the SEC (which I'm skeptical about), it won't happen until the GOR expires.
