Not that easy, Cocktail Party has events that go along with it and arrangements have to be made with Jacksonville and that stadium
Cocktail events get canceled and Florida has to pay out for any cancellation fees.
They don't get off scot-free b/c they are the ones that cocked this up in the first place.

The SEC is going to write LSU a big check if they want LSU to give up a home game.

If uga and Florida were a home game for either, sure. With them playing in Jacksonville it's not gonna happen

Good idea, I'm glad you and 632 other people have made threads about this since we know Sankey is actively perusing the board for ideas. I bet he's relieved you let him know the best way out of this.

Glad to help Greg out. He seems to need it.

I'm ok with this option despite losing the bye week before Bama. The other alternative of playing A&M on the road 5 days after playing Florida on the road is asinine. Hopefully Florida's players will be healthy by then and there school be willing to play. I mean that's truly what this all boils down to anyway

There's nothing to make this right. 2016 Florida football should be forfeited altogether
This. No other team should be drug in to the mess that Florida created. If it becomes relevant at the end of the season then force Florida to forfeit. Game should have been played today or tomorrow.

You're right. Unfortunately, UF (and Sankey though his incompetence) set up a situation where other teams are going to be affected no matter what happens. An 11/19 solution could affect 5 schools, because you can bet your arse LSU will push for the A&M game to be moved to Sat. The UGA solution is a non-starter. An extra week affects EVERY TEAM IN THE FBS. Every vote. Every poll. Every bowl game. The playoff. Everything comes to a halt thanks to Foley and Sankey refusing to do what every other affected P5 team and AD managed to do.
And this is just the inconvenience. We aren't even talking about the damn money that will have to be paid out, no matter what.

Another option is move SECCG back a week.

Another option is make Florida forfeit since they made the entire league have to deal with this crap.

The Dolphins have a home game today and Miami played one of the late East Coast games last night. Nice try.

But didn't Miami and FSU have families in the path of the storm? Seems pretty insensitive to have them play a game at a time like that

LIAR. No way LSU does this and gives us an advantage. It's not going to happen unless you're totally out of it by then.

You've basically been the dumbest poster in the history of td during this whole situation.
That is a hell of an accomplishment.
