re: What serial killer fact sounds fake, exaggerated, or fiction. But is 100% real?

Other than a Canadian film crew, I was the first person to figure out where Sean Vincent Gillis lived. I knocked on the door and his girlfriend Terri answered. She invited me and 2 of my friends inside and gave us a tour of the house. She showed us a binder of photos from after the police raid, and his computer which was full of saved news articles of Derrick Todd Lee. He was obsessed with DTL.
Crazy enough, I knew Pam Kinamore (DTL victim) because my stepdad was good friends with her husband, Mr. Byron. We would get together for football games, and grill. Before they moved to Briarwood, had a house with a pond in the front yard, and that is where I learned how to fish, and caught my first fish.

At that point what is the point of insurance.
Depends on the policy... named storms are different than unnamed storms... again, depends on the policy
When i was in roofing, you wouldn't believe the amount of people who were pissed that they payed 20+ years without incidents, and when they had an event and contacted insurance, the insurance company screwed them over hard and fast... it's a wild game, and once i realized that, I got out quick.
I had a homeowner who had clear hail damage from the storm side of the house, and discontinued shingles, and insurance refused to pay because they payed out the entire neighborhood already, and blatantly lied multiple times... it was a wake up call... homeowners insurance is a giant scam, and you will not be treated fairly, no matter how many years you buy into their scam

Throw away episode... even the whole issue about a second way out was too damn easy to figure out... quite honestly it was not good at moving the plot, or developing the story in any way... just a waste of an hour that I wish I had back... no monsters, nothing of importance happened, and just an angry cop/acid trip... i really hope next week gets the ball rolling again

re: Anybody else much prefer a spinning reel over a baitcasting reel?
Posted by TheArrogantCorndog on 5/31/26 at 3:50 am to 308
Depends on the situation
Hard wind, ultra light bait (popping cork w/carolina) , im using spinning knowing casting accuracy is lowered
Casting accuracy, low wind/good conditions, medium bait weight, im using baitcaster
I fish a lot in the marsh, so baitcaster is primary because of speed and accuracy... out in the bays, I use spinning a lot more

IF You put a clock on the launch pad of a spaceship and a clock on the ship itself, and set them together. If the spaceship were to launch and travel anywhere close to the speed of light and come back, the two clocks would show vastly different time as passing.
I don’t understand it but I know it’s true.
the closer you get to a gravitational mass, the more time changes... so, on earth, when you stand up, your head and your feet experience different time because of the difference in closeness to a gravitational pull... let that sink in and melt your brain

I listened to this today, and it made my mind melt, trying to figure it out
What is time? We can measure it using clocks... we have developed units of measure to determine it... years, days, hours, and seconds...
An astronaut who is in low earth orbit for a year is 1/100th of a second younger than he/she should be... and it's not only measurable, we've done it
But what are we measuring? Just the earth's rotation and revolution around the sun? Ok, I will grant that as true
But what are we really measuring when it comes to time dilation around black holes, time dilation around low earth orbit, and when it comes to time dilation here on earth???
What is time? We simply do not know.
