That’s not the rules. He has been rostered. Greg Sankey has full annd anutomnous authority to issue punishment as he sees fit.
A&M is actively in violation of SEC rules.
If Sankey wants to punish A&M he can punish A&M.
A&M was probably one of the no votes behind close doors for this reason.

Don’t think he should have ever been recruited given his time in the G league. Now, I’ve not dogged LSU or any other school for any dealings with former pros but I will say the online roster is simply a public facing listing and is not the legal administrative roster. It can lag behind internal changes so to make the argument this individual is “rostered” is not factual in the sense many are arguing here.

My thoughts are that so need to call all the major news media outlets to tell them to not make fun of Lane.
My school isn’t in the news for an illegal player, you guys are getting made fun of nationally. Can’t complain.

I was under the impression that Lane was recruiting seniors from the freshman class of 2022 who should have been granted eligibility for 2026 prior to signing UDFA deals.

So if this was a non issue for A&M having a professional basketball player on the team prior to the ruling, why was everyone (aggie fans included) all up in arms over LSU having a professional athlete on their football team? It should have been a non issue for LSU to do the same thing, until the ruling was in place- correct?
Is it because another school did it too, not just A&M?
