But yall just can't ignore the shiny hooks

That was an obvious troll. But it set up an easy LSU joke. So I rolled with it.

I feel much better about our game in November after watching the gumps last night against A & M. Bama is very beatable this year.

I hope all LSU fans will be emotionally invested into that massacre.

No shite, the loons are coming back from their hioeaxnotus... I almost want them to win their next 2 vs Au and OM... You know they'll be all lathered up , starry eyed and think they turned into a contender... We'll be Skeered. Aranda, OeaxCanada .. blah blah ..that way when Bama mudhole stomps them by 20+ we can point me laugh for the 7th time in a row.. then we can watch them fold and finish 7-5.

Bama has conquered the dual threat QB deficiency and did so a few seasons back.

He’s was t much of a dual threat last night. The most impressive things Monds did is scramble to extend some plays. He was under a lot of pressure most of the night and just avoided about 6-7 sacks. I was very impressed with his poise and think he’s going to be formidable over the next few years

To be fair, they scored all of 19 points... 2 of which had nothing to do with A&M's QB. Pretty sure Alabama is going to score more than 20 every game.

350 yards with an 18 yr old QB

308 yards and 17 pts, 50 yards and 7 pts in hurry up down 15 with 30 seconds left.

Mond played a nice game for a kid, but let's pump the breaks a bit.

Was it Mond's 14 yards on 14 carries, the four sacks, or the garbage TD that help you arrive at this?

Mond was asked to beat Alabama with a limited playbook. You run into him in a year or two when Mond has some experience & learns how to be a QB, I don’t think 27 gets the job done.

Thanks for the insight.

Mond is a guy who couldnt complete 50% of his passes in high school. He’s surround by a bunch of freshman WRs & an OL loaded with youth. The game planning is 100% keeping it simple and doing what our guys are capable of and not fully scouting the other team and going after weaknesses. He just got done holding his own vs the best team in college football. I would be mildly worried about defense when Mond’s legs was able to create a little havoc. We all saw what Watson was able to do the last few years. Now I’m not saying Mond is Watson or you’ll even face a guy like Watson. I do think the OP makes a fair point.

I think they are 2 pretty separate issues.

Alabama's defense was fine last night. They gave up 17 pts and under 4.5 YPP. A&M had 1 drive > 50 yards and it was down 15 with 1 minute left.

The other issue, Mond, is right on. Looks like a talented kid getting better every week. Should be really excited about him and his progress so far. Lot of talent and poise. Impressive kid.

If we're going to talk about next year, maybe having three injured starters back will help Alabama in defending Mond.

Not so sure about that. Bama special teams went derp giving up the easy fumble recovery in the red zone and allowing a blocked punt. Ridley hurt most of the 2nd half, foster dropped an easy first down and fumbled the next, and a&m's qb made 2 amazing throws under heavy pressure that would have made deshaun watson jealous. And with all of that bama still was never in danger of losing.
Come get some!

Kellen Mond couldn't get down field with his legs, their secondary made it very hard for him to move past the line of scrimmage. However he was able to extend plays and make some good running throws, that's what he excelled at in Highschool more so than running the ball downfield.

Yep. And pretty much every dual threat QB Alabama has struggled with in the past went on the win the Heisman, shattered school records, and/or be great in the NFL......... There was that Stephen Garcia guy though......fricker...
