All this says is that Bama and Michigan get called for holding a lot.

Could that be because

drum roll

they hold a lot?

In other news, shite stinks. An additional report reveals that people in prison tend to be charged with crimes.

Bama holds every play. It gets away with it most plays. It gets caught a lot because it holds constantly.

You’re joking, right?

Alabama gets called more because they hold more.

Some % of holds never get called. It's beneficial to hold more because you take advantage of the bias of officials to refrain from calling holding.

They know "you could call holding on every play" too, and this impacts their judgement.

For posters who read this, but not the OP:

Alabama's opponents are called for holding at an anomalously low rate compared to the statistical average.

Too much money each week on Bama to cover the spread. Can’t have the public winning too much free money on the most popular team.

Well if he would have laid off the steroids and deer antler spray, he might have gotten the benefit of the doubt

It is BECAUSE they hold more than anyone...and think they are entitled to do so without penalty

not surprisingly, you morons are too dumb to understand what is being said. The statistical analysis is showing that Alabama's opponents are not getting holding called on them, despite us having one of the most consistently great dlines. This isn't showing anything about Alabama's offensive line.

This thread is hilarious. Being presented with facts that prove Alabama receives no benefit from the refs is apparently so disorienting to some people on this board that it turns them actually retarded (or in some cases, even more retarded than they already were).

Bottom line, some anonymous dude from Michigan runs an unidentified algorithm that spits out numbers. He has “99%” confidence in it, and that’s true because in his own humble opinion, he is right. He offers scant and mildly confusing explanations of his methodology.

As a result, the Gumps get all orgasmic because they think it helps them. Nobody else with normal vision who has watched a Bama game buys the bullshite.

That about sum it up?

Refute it then.

Some jackass on some B.B. posts the plot of an unknown formula and you cream your jeans.

Objection: Daubert.

Its more like “some guy scans the database of every college football play and tallies the number of holding calls drawn by a given defense.”

Would like to see if there’s anything indicating that the SEC on average is called for more or fewer holding penalties than the national average. Would paint a clearer picture.

Some guy: You don’t know who.

Correlated play data to DL strength: We don’t know how.

Runs an algorithm: Which he doesn’t identify.

Says Michigan gets screwed: Is Michigan fan.

Really?
