right he’s only been viewed as a first round back since his sophomore year ….. lol … how many first round backs do you know of ? I say that’s pretty special . Sure you loaded up and stopped him but you also lost the game you forgetting the keg part of it all lol.

Surprising TN was the clear leader in rushing yards. I know they were winning without that QB doing a lot but wouldn't have thought they would be the top rushing team in the SEC.

He is 1-1vs AU. And he sure as hell wasn't the reason they beat Auburn.

Note they said top rushers. Not the best RB. It is a system thing with no connection to the Best RB grade

Certainly not related to NFL draft potential.

I felt like Dylan Sampson was one of the key strengths of that team, along with the defensive line.

When I found out he wouldn't be full strength against Ohio State I was concerned for Tennessee.

I realy enjoyed watching him as a running back last year.

I feel like Nate Frazier showed some flashes of being a big time back, but he wasn't consistent. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him this year.

It was a bad season and I figure they let him have the 1K because he's legacy and the year was shot anyway.

But giving Jordan Scarlett more reps would have set us up better for the next two years

I went to 5 ULM games last year and Ahmad Hardy is an excellent running back and a very nice pickup for Mizzou but #2 in the SEC? That seems a stretch.

If everything comes together for Moss, and the aggie offense catches a few breaks, and the stars align, there is an outside shot that this season the aggie offense can actually score a point against Texas.

Which SEC teams want to run the football? Which teams will be stubborn about it in the red zone and short yardage? Which teams have a running QB and will skew the numbers? Which teams want to play physical and control the LOS and TOP? Short answer: Not many.

That's been Tennessee's MO the last 2 seasons. Run heavy (#1 rushing offense in the SEC both years) with an emphasis on defense (#2 in the SEC last season) and controlling the LOS. I expect that to be the case again this year judging by the reports coming out of fall camp. Sampson rushed for almost 1500 last season and Wright rushed for over 1000 the year prior.

DeSean Bishop, Peyton Lewis & Star Thomas will likely do it by committee though so I'm not expecting a 1000 yard back this year.

Ya hopefully the line gives him gaps. And OC knows when to keep it on the ground. And Demarco doesn’t play musical chairs in the RB room all season.

Since Heupel has been at tUT, they have finished top 4 in the league every year with a couple years leading the league. Each year by committee. Last year Sampson got more reps due to Bishop having a nagging injury for the majority of the year.

you didnt watch the game. We didnt lose because we stopped Ott from doing anything productive.

Also, your OL is still dogshit. Ott isnt going to be drafted 1st round, nor is he going to be ranked in the top 5 of the SEC. He'll probably get injured like he is prone to do

30 rushes for 89 yards in two years vs Auburn.

He’s going to be drafted in the first round and auburn just loaded up to stop him. Hes the best RB in the SEC.

Agree on Moss he is a stud.

I have a feeling Baxter, if he stay's healthy, will have a better year than Wisner.

Eh, everyone on that list will be looking up at Nate Frazier about halfway through the season.

State is picked last which is very understandable. But our RB combo of Booth & Bothwell certainly have an opportunity to produce a very good year. I would say they are being underrated preseason (which again is understandable). But don’t be surprised if you hear about these two RB’s during the season.

Bamas RB’s will be up there because we will be relying on them more. We bring back 4 o-lineman and two RB’s with a new QB. Yep, we’ll run the damn ball more with the RB this year.

Doubtful.

Grubb was basically fired from Seattle for not running the ball enough.

Unless Russell is at QB, we will be running with our RB’s way more than we did last year with Milroe. Book it. I see us being very balanced and very good. It reminds me of who we were back in the AJ Mcarron days. Game manager WB, 9 of 11 back on defense, 4 o-lineman back this year, and just a solid team.
