Also 3 freshmen starting in the secondary.

Probably wouldn’t hurt to start more freshmen given how shitty the safety play is but there’s only one freshman in the secondary. Linebacker and safety are Tennessee’s weakness. Corners are pretty solid.

He will go to a team (probably Florida) that plays Tennessee and will go off leading said team to victory. It’s the Tennessee way.
QB: B+
RB: B
OL: A
WR: A

DL: B
LB: D+
DB: B-

Special Teams: B+

Offense has been a nice surprise considering all the unknowns coming into the season.

DL & DB will be better when injured players get back. LBs have played like shite.

Special teams would be a solid A if the kick was made.

We have one. And that one could end up who knows where

How the hell does any school compete with UT at this point?

WR bout to flip to the real UT

I've said it before but Tennessee's season is going to hinge on if Aguilar can hit the downfield throws that Nico missed last year. For every elite throw Nico made, he missed 3 guaranteed TD's downfield. I do give credit to defensive schemes to an extent but Nico missed a lot of throws, especially deep. He hits them and our opinion would've lined up with our expectations we had for him last year.

TL/DR: Nico is inaccurate on deep throws and missed a lot of passing stats because of it last year.

The Nico/Arnold QB battle last year in Norman was the damndest QB play I’ve seen from two “5 Star” QBs.

Surprising TN was the clear leader in rushing yards. I know they were winning without that QB doing a lot but wouldn't have thought they would be the top rushing team in the SEC.

Since Heupel has been at tUT, they have finished top 4 in the league every year with a couple years leading the league. Each year by committee. Last year Sampson got more reps due to Bishop having a nagging injury for the majority of the year.
Tennessee not hiring David Cutcliffe as head coach after 2005 (instead of being brought back in as OC) or 2008. He was the reason for Fulmer’s success and would’ve been poetic justice considering what Fulmer did to Coach Majors. He would have at least stabilized the program instead of the Kiffin, Dooley, etc. years.

That list looks real suspect. The orange people should be very low

I get it. Nico would’ve won the Heisman this year if he’d stayed.

He was a mediocre QB on the same level as Joe Milton without the arm strength. If his replacement can hit deep balls unlike Nico, it’s going to open back up the offense.
Salesi Moa

Big pick up that came out of nowhere. Thought he was heading to Utah where his dad played. If we can flip Keys, it'll be a hell of a WR class.
If Arkansas beats Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, Sam Pittman will deserve the Nobel Peace Prize
Sampson is/was a hell of a player but Tennessee has finished in the top 4 of the SEC rushing since Heupel has been there. Last year was the only year he was the main guy and finished 3rd which was a drop off from the previous year when they finished 1st.

Line rotated 12 guys last year but lost a 3rd of them including Pierce and Omari Thomas. It hurts but got depth and Coach Garner so not as big of a concern than you’d think.

I don't think these computers factor in transfer acquisitions very much, Tennessee's going to be good after Nico? What?

Nico didn’t really play that well last year. That won’t be the reason UT may have a worse record.

Everything else aside, I just don't see Tennessee at 9-3.

Vols have a weak schedule and defense SHOULD be as good as last year. Question will be how much Nico held up the offense last year and if the new QB can hit the deep balls Nico continuously missed.

Unfortunately, Tennessee could face years of setbacks as a result.

Ya'll acting like Nico is the 2nd coming or something
Saw them multiple times and just saw them again Friday night in Nashville and wouldn't think twice about going. They are on fire & top of their game right now. Probably the most jammy I've seen them. Nels Cline is the one of the most underrated guitarist out there.
