43 homers in the final 16 games is still crazy. Pitching was phenomenal and kept most games from getting close. Our freshman starters looked like seasoned vets. < 1.5 era in deciding games. Defensively we didn’t allow much. About a million story lines between the Branch and Mercurius bros, the Wilits family, Tok and of course Skip. What a magical run.

Only one starter hasn’t homered for OU in the tournament. Kinda feel bad for him.

Nah, it has more to do with the proposed salary cap system. That being said, with more college players I can see doing away with rookie or A ball. It’s also less risk overall for ball clubs. Get more accurate scouting evals against top competition. Thats a big reason why NBA did away with HS draft players and more recently G-league. As for how it helps college teams idk. Obviously signing a A-rod or Bryce Harper would be tits tho.
