SEC presidents are expected to direct ADs against accepting pro players - under threat of penalty. Per bylaws, Greg Sankey and/or presidents hold authority to deem a player ineligible, fine/suspend coaches, etc. Will they? “This is Sankey’s ‘Sorsby Moment,’” says one person.

Good thing LSU got things done before this. What is the start date for this new "rule?"

Effectively immediately.

Big 12 and ACC also just announced they expect to pass the same rule. So that's now the entire Power 4

Looks like its Sankey and the entire SEC vs an athletic Director previously suspended for helping cover up assault, the most hated coach in college football, and maybe the most despised coaching staff in college basketball.

Excited to see how this plays out.
