based on preseason poll rankings and predictions for Ole Miss with no Kiffin, it would seem to imply most of the credit is going to Chambliss

Ha. Well. I guess as a fan it's helpful to put on a brave face. But every time Sumrall opens his mouth I'm glad that moron is yours.
The stars had to align for you to win with a shrimp boat captain in 2019 and your last championship before that was luck, but I'm sure the guy with no morals who doesn't like to recruit will get you guys there

Do you guys actually think major football coaches are beacons of morality or something?

Not at all, but I do think its a potential predictor of outcomes.
If you suck as a person you're more likely to be caught on a motorcycle with your mistress and get fired, for example. How many more games would Arkansas have won in the past X number of years with Petrino vs the carnival of errors that followed?
Do you want to imply that it doesn't make a difference if someone is higher character? So if I gave you a choice between two guys who were otherwise identical to run your program for at least the next 5 years, one being a higher character individual and the other not, you would be ok just flipping a coin because it doesn't matter?

Lane got incredibly lucky Austin Simmons got hurt. Simmons isn’t very good.

I don't think any major college football coaches are high character individuals. I think they all lie, will cheat if possible, the vast majority have probably do/have cheated on their spouse, I would say most are narcissists, etc.

I watched that cat shred my Bisons in D2 like they were a high school JV team instead of a perennial title contender.
Does Kiffin get too much credit? I don't know. But I do know that Chambliss absolutely has that dog in him.

Lane also started Austin Simmons over him. I think Lane was as surprised by how much of a gamer he was as anyone else was. If Simmons doesn't get hurt, Ole Miss probably goes like 8-4.
This is why I am picking Missouri to go 5-7 this season.

Is Trinidad coming back to Ole Miss next year for an unprecedented 7th year?

We called the same people who changed Obama's birth certificate to get us where we needed to be

So, TC should be much better this season and literally beat everyone

LOL, so you don't believe in redemption. Kiffin has admitted the mistakes he has made in his life and completely changed his life around while in Oxford.
And don't give me the BS about Kiffin leaving Ole Miss during the playoffs as he would have left for UF if they had won him over instead of LSU. And your coach, who I love by the way, did the exact same thing except Tulane let him stay since he wasn't going to a conference rival.

Really ? Guess he turned down top 3 round money to play year 7 at Ole Miss.

Pardon me, but I'll take a head coach that can find and sign ready made Heisman finalist caliber players in the farthest reaches of the lower divisions and sign them on the cheap.
Seems like a positive in a head coach.

No disrespect to Lane but some of those lower division programs have very exceptional coaches. Trinidad was coached when he got to Ole Miss.

Sure I do, but Kiffin has been a turd his entire life outside of the couple of years at Ole Miss where he basically did a personal rebrand so he could get a job like LSU or Alabama, and as soon as he got it his old self came right back out. He is a sleaze and he most likely always will be. I don't even dislike him necessarily, I just wouldn't buy a car from the guy.

He did not do the same thing at all, he stayed Kiffin didn't.

That didn't answer my question.
Do you not see how absurd "I think everyone in a certain profession lacks character" sounds?

I think this is probably true to some extent, coaches seem to get too much credit when a player performs well and too much blame when one doesn't.
For guys that come in as Freshmen, it’s pretty easy to make that argument.
For guys coming through the portal to be the starter, I think the coach can get more credit.
Chambliss was not brought in to be the guy. He was here to be the competent backup. Lane and Co did a great job once he was instilled as the starter but “development” wasn’t the reason.

Lane doesn't like to recruit? I wish I was that good at stuff I hate to do.
Have fun with Cosplay coach Sumrall.
