It’s emabrrassing to have 7 teams in the tourney and potentially have ZERO in the elite 8

The fact that there's a thread about the SEC being overrated is proof that SEC basketball is in great shape.

Exactly. Entering a great era of SEC basketball. Hiring better coaches, getting record no. of teams in the tournament, getting better facilities. On the way up. And Kentucky is going to wreck K State tonight.

All were in the NCAAt at the same time, along with Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Missouri, and Arkansas

We had a bunch of pretty good teams, but none were elite.

It’s much better than having one elite team and 2-3 others invited to the NCAAT.

Acc has the elite teams usually and a good overall conference... big 12 has a deep good conference with maybe one elite team.... big 10 usually lays a egg.... sec is not as bad and it getting better.....we won’t even talk about pac-12 which is easily the worst basketball and football conference.

None of the SEC teams were seeded to make the Elite 8. The SEC proved it was what everyone thought- a bunch of solid teams but not serious title contenders.

Just because your lower seeded doesn't justify you being raped on live tv in front of an international audience.

Agreed. I think the ACC was similar in that respect.

SEC has made huge strides in a short time and will continue to improve. SEC has nothing to be ashamed about...the PAC 12 on the other hand is a disaster.
