The fans in attendance don't see that interview and the ones who do just hear the same coaches speak that everyone gives. you can watch a post game of a MAC coach who just got a W infront of 2,000 fans on a Thursday and will say things like "they got loud" "best fans in the country"... I'm sorry you just won't convince me these interviews are anything more than useless routine

A bunch of non-sequiturs don’t equate to a cogent argument as to why we owe it to Holly Rowe to see or hear from her. Or any of them. The product was noticeably better not having ti hear inane interviews from bimbo’s who’ve never played the game. It was nice reverting to the studio for their analysis from actual experts.

They don't know the game, never played the game and are in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It is completely idiotic to talk to a football coach ANYTIME unless you enjoy getting your as chewed out. Its especially true during and immediately after a game. It is a contractual obligation, however - the TV gods insist on it. If the coach doesn't want to do it he can retire. I don't like it but its just one more piece in the dismantling of what makes CFB great. There are times when they are talking to the HC after the second half kickoff....that is a particularly good time to get one's feelings hurt by trying to talk to a football coach. Those who never spent anymore time with a football coach beyond touchdown club meetings and the like have no idea how fricking angry they are ALL the time. My high school coach tossed a damned Coke machine through a window once because we allowed a rival to score late in a game we were winning by 28 points. They are always pissed off all the time....but it is a contractual obligation they agree too...

The fans in attendance don't see it live but it is ALL over their social media feeds immediately. They see it. I assure you it has worked in Athens. The fans in attendance this week will be talking about it their tailgate next week. Anyone who has ever visited Sanford Stadium as a visitor knows its different now than it was even 15 years ago....20 or so years ago it was unlike anything else in the SEC....you would never notice the crowd. That is no longer the case and a good bit of that is due to Smart handing out attaboys to the fans.

Agree 1000%. No one asked for these interviews it’s manufactured by the media but it’s not appreciated. Same as the pointless 3rd inning dugout interviews while play is going on. F ESPN for thinking this is what we want.

I don't care what blabbering nonsense a coach or player has to say during or immediately after the game. It isn't going to be well thought out, so why do it?

The SEC’s current television deal with ESPN/ABC is worth about $300 million per year, under a 10-year agreement signed in 2020 that runs through the 2033-34 season.
I am sure these interviews are part of it.

I'm sure they are too..my point is they shouldn't be... it's garbage content. As a coach who wants to do this..especially when you are going to have to answer the same questions at the podium in 30 minutes. As a fan would you rather watch a team celebrating, a coach going wild with his boys, scenes of the crowd in a huge moment... or Holly Rowe with a microphone asking the same 3 questions over and over again.

Nevermind the fact that Holly Rowe adds nothing to the broadcast. None of her questions provide insight. Neither do questions from Laura Rutledge or Alyssa Lang, but at least they add some pleasantness to the broadcast. Holly Rowe is self important enough to actually believe she's providing a service and uses her platform to either play a victim or virtue signal. She should cover WNBA games exclusively. I'm no fan of Sark but I love what he did here. We should see more of it.

Yes his first season at Texas he destroyed some kid in the tunnel because he was holding him back from entering the field. If I recall correctly told him don’t you fing touch me. He’s got problems. Don’t know why makes an assumption load of money at a university with unlimited funds. Know idea why he’s angry all the time.

Not even close to the point. These massive TV deals pay for these insane coaches’ salaries. And the conferences and coaches have agreed to these admittedly useless interviews. So you do them period. He should be heavily fined by the SEC for being a classless twat and not performing his agreed upon obligations.

Those massive TV contracts exist because of the product that people like Sark out out.... not the bullshite content Holly Rowe gets. Push comes to shove you tell Holly to do better or pivot, not holding sarks feet to the fore w fines for this bullshite
