Sankey getting exposed (again) is a nice by-product of this circus. I don't want LSU gone (love our cross-border thing), but it sure would be nice to have that arse hat jettisoned.
I can envision a Mafia-like scenario where all the Presidents call a meeting, Sankey shows up to kick out LSU, then they whack him.

It's time to kick Sankey out of the SEC.

lack of institutional control over the athletics program at LSU that is required by......the SEC Constitution.

This is correct. Seems short sided though. To have 15 institutions agree to add the halftime comments, seems like a head jerk reaction.

And that will be higher by the end of this season.

Why wasn’t this set in motion last basketball season then?
Because last basketball season, the NCAA wasn't considered essentially null and void as an enforcement mechanism, and the hope was that this was something that was going to get fixed at the national level via legislation.
The 2025-26 basketball cases (G League returnees, two-way contracts, Bediako) were NCAA problems. Conferences complained. They did not file federal suits against their own members. The hope was a national eligibility statute, not 16 presidents inventing a parallel government in August. That hope died this summer when the 5-for-5 carve-out hit the courts, state judges started writing NCAA rules, and a member school plus a state AG used a hometown injunction to freeze an SEC vote two weeks after it passed.
Once the national body cannot hold a line, the conference either polices its own association or it does not exist as a product. That is why this started after the August 25 vote and the Louisiana override, not after last year’s basketball season.

The SEC is whining in paragraph 92 about a "lack of institutional control" just because LSU leadership didn't muzzle Kiffin or fall in line with a panic-driven policy statement. It’s rich for Sankey to lecture anyone about control when his entire strategy is weaponizing federal courts and heavy-handed threats because he’s terrified of a legal challenge he can't bully his way out of.
The SEC treats President Rousse’s vote and subsequent campus friction as a smoking gun of institutional failure. In reality, it highlights how hastily the conference offices scrambled to draft these "Professionalism Rules" under Sankey's watch, only to watch the rug get pulled out from under them by state judges who weren't willing to rubber-stamp his power grab.

Sankey needs to move on. None of those dudes are on LSU's roster. Even if they were, I don't see how that equates to "lack of institutional control." But they aren't, so who gaf. Move on.

The past 2 decades LSU is #2 in SEC average ratings behind Bama. So it's not that clear cut. Probably going to go up in the Kiffin era as well.

They had a snowballs chance in hell of winning their original lawsuit, and they’re adding as many buzzwords as possible, and then releasing it to the media, to try and get LSU to back down.
Don’t be shocked when LSU does exactly what it’s done throughout this whole process, stays silent.
When the lawsuit is tossed, the gloves will come off and the SEC will be out in the crosshairs of some significant countersuits.

the sec needs to be sued for 1 billion dollars in damages
i wanna see skankey lose it all and be deported to liberia.

I'm interested in someone explaining the part about "silence from Rousse following the August 26th vote"....

Well Kiffin started the fight and LSU helped. Kiffin deserves all the backlash and LSU if they stick with him over winning 1 game.

Sankey seems jaded. I’m sure he could fly to BR and meet with LSU leadership in private, but he has an ego to maintain.
