Joshua Edwards - from the Opelousas area. Not sure of the connection with Liberty of how it came about.

My memory is absolutely terrible, but was he in the same class as Tack Minor? Could that have been the reason we weren't so hot on Tweety?
I thought Duke was honing in on the guy from Murray St?

Aplogize in advance for a novice question, but who typically runs the game clock at high school games? Is it an official or a volunteer that the host school provides?

Who’s to say they won’t offer Chambers the job.

That would make sense considering his Texas ties/background.

Gotta believe that if WW ends up heading to NCSt, he is going to try to bring Hamilton with him to ensure a DMV recruiting foothold.

If so.. thoughts?

The white kid can play a little. That is all.

A few makeups games this week, and then we can expect final rankings? Or are we all set?

Guessing we see SGS and Mercy advance, but CHS is still on my mind here. Wouldn't surprise me if that one is anyone's game late.

I believe it was all chalk last night. That would mean Aloysius/Mercy and CHS/George tonight at Catholic.

Catholic is the wildcard. Didn't start the season healthy, but playing good ball now. Only lost to SGS by 2 this weekend at the Mercy tournament.

I am sure the Dragons are feeling disrespected... Went 3-0 in the Mercy tournament with 2 wins over Mercy, but still the 2 seed... but it should all be settled on the court in the finals this weekend

They set the E8 bracket before the Mercy tournament, when Mercy was coming off of consecutive tournament wins. But I tend to agree with you, it's very likely that they meet in the end this coming weekend.

Was there a school tourney this past weekend?

All 8 teams played this weekend - 5 in the Mercy tournament and the other 3 in a round robin at STA.

I'm all in for just keeping MM if that is our best option.

Prediction - Blue Jays retake 1st place

Can't see any other scenario. They are really putting it to people right now.

Lafayette has gotta (at the very least) reach out to David Patrick, no?

This year some of the 8th grade teams are only playing JV (the old CYO) and not Varsity (the old CSAL.)

Not really any other than the usual suspects though, right? St Elizabeth is, but that's a small school with mixed grades playing up. SFX is only doing JV, but that's typical also.

Holy Family, STM, MBS, Catholic PC, Redepmtorist, Sacred Heart all have no league basketball (v or jv) of any kind for 8th grade this year.

Serious question, are there only 8 total teams?

9 teams in league play this year. MBS and STM didn't have the numbers to field 8th grade teams this season, unfortunately.

Luka is without question the best player on the court (and maybe on the planet), but it is wild how many times he just gets blown by on D. He can't stay in front of any of these dudes.
