Stunned a Tuscaloosa judge would rule against Alabama unless it's what the school wanted.

He had Anderson and Hunter to deal with from Houston. Then Allen, roach and Uwazurike. Now Lawrence.

But if you're a good player, at some point, those guys say "we had to deal with Campbell from New England." If you can't handle any of the top guys in the league, then you're not a top-notch player.
Went to the NCAA tournament 10 seasons in a row from 1984 to ‘93, and 13 of 15 from ‘79 to ‘93, making 2 Final Fours, 2 more Elite Eights and a Sweet 16. LSU was a top-tier national program for most of that stretch.

Made another Sweet 16 trip in ‘00, another FF trip in ‘06, and a Sweet 16 in ‘19 even in what’s been mostly a down 30 years plus. So this place can be more that the shite Brady, Johnson, Jones and McMahon put on the floor for most of that stretch.

Every coach but McMahon has made the tournament even if most of their tenures were shite. Even Johnson won an SEC title and an NCAA tournament game, and Jones made an NCAA tournament. So what McMahon has done is indefensible and inexcusable.

Duke/Carolina tonight…does anybody care?

No, especially not about those 2 teams.

Our women's coach is a HOF, the men's coach is a dud. She deserves to make more.

I agree. The women's coach produces a quality product and tries to market the program. The men's coach puts out a crap product and has the charisma of a brick wall.

Not even close to original. This was a quote about Giants/Phillies CF Garry Maddox, who played in the '70s and '80s.

When I was a student we sometimes had to get in line hours early, with some people camping out overnight, just to get in to the Assembly Center. How times have changed.

Yep, back when the program was worth a shite.

This is on top of the fact that their uniforms just suck, in general.
The PMAC is fine. Men’s basketball is not at a point where it needs premium seating beyond what they sell now.

Put some of the money for a new arena into PMAC renovations and reallocate the rest for other things.

If I pay for the ticket, I’m entitled to boo. I’d boo whether they were getting paid or not (psst … let me let you in on a little secret … they were always getting paid).
I had a more cynical post up, and it could still be that. But I agree it’s probably to keep Davis Webb from leaving.
Awful hire. The Steelers used to be a model organization. Seems that fell apart once Dan Rooney quit running things and then passed away.

I was so damn nervous before the kick

I was there, and I’ve never been so nervous for an entire game. Wound tight for about 4 hours. One of the happiest sports days of my life.
Money is the most important part of recruiting, and now that it’s legal, players have way more options. Therefore, the relationship part of it isn’t as important, which means guys like Frank Wilson aren’t as important.

All because the owner and his ex-first baseman front office stooge had to have a “proven”’first baseman, overpaid for him and now can’t get rid of him.

More like weekly. I feel like he’s always griping about something.
Typical Titans ownership move. Good luck.
Son of Ed has the same “the game is about me” disease his pop had.

Of those 4, I like Cheffers and his crew the best. I could be totally wrong, if someone dug up stats, but Cheffers and his crew usually seem to let the game breathe and the players play.

I imagine this has to be an upgrade from our former strength coach,

After watching LSU football the last 4 years, almost anyone else would be an upgrade from our former strength coach.
Men's basketball doesn't warrant much interest because the school and coaching staff have let the program drift into irrelevance. There was some activity last night just because they blew another game, this time an 18-point lead in the second half.

Otherwise, there are not enough threads on men's basketball on a daily basis to warrant a separate board. The interest isn't there right now.
