This year it's probably better for LSU's QB to skip the Ole Miss passing academy

Every year is better for LSU QBs to skip the Manning academy.
Hader coming back and being at the top of his game has been huge. It ends the closer-by-committee in the 9th, and allows King, DLS and others to be used in better-suited roles for them.
Two of the three guys swing at the first pitch. Brain-dead approach at the plate by the leadoff hitter, who's a catcher, and a guy who can't break .600 OPS.
The Altuve error helped set this all up.
Cam is not as embarrassing as Matthews.
Third place, 2 1/2 back of the AL West lead, and 1 game back in the wild-card race while being 4 games under .500. "Turrible" is the perfect definition for the AL.

But good on the Astros for taking advantage of the crap.

Tom Hart puts me to sleep. Jordan Rodger’s was great. The Cubiek was good analyst as well

Rodgers was fine. Cubelic was good. Hart is a wannabe comedian who's not that funny. Every game became the sideshow to some sideline sideshow.
He's probably gonna get demoted after the game because he's now worked back-to-back days and their out of fresh arms.

Why on earth did he pinch hit JP for Trammell just to let Brice hit. Absolute malpractice

Great challenge on a pitch that wasn’t close from Yainer

Astros hitters have gotten fricked on at least 3 calls since then, including strike 1 on Matthews. It's as if this fricker behind the plate decided to take advantage of the chance to frick the Astros.

On the other hand, this lineup of 4A hitters wouldn't be able to take advantage, anyway.
They wore the hats to push merchandise. Same thing they do with camo for Armed Forces weekend, flag material for July 4 and cancer awareness on Mother's and Father's Day. I see this is as more about MLB trying to make a buck anyway it can, which is why they produced these and asked the players to wear them. Any merchandise worn by players usually gets people more motivated to buy it, regardless of what it is.

And I also think it's crap to threaten the players because they put Bible verses on them.
I'm probably watching more and liking less. But I can do these types of seasons standing on my head. Saw this type of mediocrity a bunch before the Golden Era so I'm used to this.

re: ESPN please reassign Eduardo

There is no reason for Karl Ravech and Eduardo Perez to be on the College World Series. Ravech is terrible at play by play in any sport, and Eduardo knows less than most former baseball players.

Put Mike Monaco with Peterson and Ben, let them do two games every day, and call it a day.

Agree. It’s time

I also agree it's time to show Dana Brown and Joe Espada the door.

Oh, you meant, selling off? That, too.
Cody Campbell got worked over. Served his arse right.

I always wondered how this would go… if a team had a ‘Christian Night’ and the players had to have all the Christian insignia on hats and jerseys and sleeves, etc…

How do yall think that would go over?

That the organization putting on that night was being homophobic and insensitive.
Also makes you wonder if they have a Saturday night postgame problem.
