re: Dillingham's salary and buyout

What's the obsession with this guy? I know Arizona State has been pretty good and he's a good offensive mind. What am I missing?

Freeman talk is ridiculous. the optics on that look horrible. You're just going to go snag another ND coach? NVM he screwed LSU over when he went to South Bend the first time when they thought they had him?
He plays a cupcake schedule every year and last year had the luckiest run ever to a NC game. He had nothing but luck fall in place with the playoff teams. They lost to Northern Illinois last year. That's historically bad. That alone should've disqualified them for their playoff bid.
I think he's a solid coach but incredibly overrated. The only thing I can agree on is he's young and can definitely evolve more as a coach over time. LSU has not shown themselves to be patient and that's just a bad look. His wife wanted nothing to do with BR and all of a sudden, she's just going to change her mind because of the money(which they're getting over there). I'm sorry, I don't believe a word you say in this post.

re: If Kiffin was staying with Ole Miss don't you think they would have worked out
Posted by friendlyobservation on 11/7/25 at 4:56 pm to nicholastiger
Why would he sign an extension right now when he has every opportunity to make his price tag sky rocket? The more he wins the more it forces either someone to throw obscene numbers at him or bend Ole Miss over for an extension. If he's deep in the playoffs imagine the bidding war.

So is LSU doesn't stop them from buying out a 50 million+ contract. Happens when you have deep pocket boosters.

As DC? Sure. HC? Absolutely no.

Great DC, horrible HC. He's simply not HC material and anyone who knew his personality knew it was like this when he was at LSU.

Don't believe it in the slightest. He's simply too old and he hates the current NIL setup. I do think the only college he'd listen to right now is LSU but he's not seriously entertaining coming back. Why would he walk into this absolute mess of a university right now? He'd want to be in a situation where he can win it in year 1 and he's not going to be able to do that at LSU especially with next season's schedule.
Also, looking at a quick summary of your post history I believe you even less now. You really seem to know nothing.

Maybe he can set a hall of shame record for NCAA on second chances to same program and how to completely gut the university again.

He seems injury prone might be best to just go to draft but I can't imagine his stock is going to be sky high. I doubt he wants to come back and risk his career too.
re: How on earth does the president have no idea of the verge title IX scandal?

Well, regardless, it's not exactly surprising the president was told to remove this off him as he got in. The PR is terrible and so is the front admin.

He's pretty much confirming what we already know. He was told to do this and it was set into motion already. Just shows you how incompetent that admin really is.

I'm not believing anything Moscona says sorry. Even if the AD says something similar I still wouldn't believe that based on Verge's history in the AD. It was already set into motion before the president came in.

What makes you think he doesn't? Verge hangs around because he's a political leech. Married into politics and so he fits right into the good ole boys network. Should've been fired a decade ago. He's a good yes man and has all the dirt on LSU.
re: Gruden nugget
Posted by friendlyobservation on 11/4/25 at 7:27 pm to reauxl tigers
Gruden would be a disaster at the college level. His scheme alone would just go over the head of all the young guys. He's the type of coach who doesn't mold his scheme around player strengths, he expects them to mold themselves around his. Horrible fit for the college level.

re: Verge Ausberry is your new AD
Posted by friendlyobservation on 11/4/25 at 7:23 pm to GruntbyAssociation
Considering he didn't get fired with all the Title IX investigations I'm going to guess he has a lot of dirt on the AD. Not only that, well, the investigations kinda confirmed that. He tried to sweep everything under the rug lol. So no telling what else he has done.
At any rate, he's married into a political family and he has his hand in the good ole boys network. He was never going anywhere anyway.

Good example of how you elevate yourself when you have powerful political friends. Ausberry should've been canned at LSU a decade ago.
re: Baker asked Frank for more "realistic looks" in practice and more "game-like simulations"
Posted by friendlyobservation on 11/3/25 at 1:47 pm to Fun Bunch
This explains why for 4 years BK teams looked unprepared and why it felt like he was so incompetent he couldn't make any adjustments until systematic problems slapped him in the face for multi-games consecutively. Oh yeah, also explains why they look soft in many games. Good riddance.
