re: LSU media suing LSU?
Posted by friendlyobservation on 7/19/26 at 10:36 pm to Circle K Beggar
What exactly do they have? The only argument could be on the revenue share side in which case, they already know because there's a cap there they just distributed the money differently to each sport. I mean, you have your numbers there what else they need? NIL side they have zero argument for that and will lose because it's not public taxpayer money going into it. So the only argument is maybe revenue share that's currently capped.

You could argue it but that doesn't make it right either.

I don't think you understand how betting odds work.

Especially since it's an integral part to SELA culture. Good luck at failing in politics. Whatever she's suing for is going to lose too because this is not taxpayer money so they don't have to divulge anything. She might want to pack her bags and move up north somewhere. Maybe that would be more in line with her political career. Clearly she doesn't know Louisiana culture very well because that's not going to fly down here. Already off to a poor start.

They seem to be predicting that because they also think El Nino is going to be historically strong this season which negatively impacts hurricanes in our region but brings a lot of rain. Supposedly they think this could linger into parts of next year and if that's true, you have to worry about serious flooding around spring time due to stalled fronts. They don't know though can't predict weather.

One thing I always hate about slow moving storms like this is they have the potential to just absolutely dump on someone flooding wise. Obviously that's not now but maybe later this week.
The predictions this year Louisiana will get a A LOT of rain seem to be holding up true.

Yeah, it's not exactly lacking in rain for Louisiana either.

Let's wait until signing day yeah? If I was in these bidding wars I'd wait until last day to bid these guys up to snag them.

And? They win. Do you think LSU would've beat that Tulane team last year? I don't.

I know seems like everyone forgets Berry because it was Jay's first year but he was a good player.

I still can't believe these guys have actually sniffed playoffs and we haven't in recent years.

Title of this thread is almost labeled like a clickbait article with a cliffhanger. Was it so hard to just put that in the title then give context in the post?

They say that about Dottery lol. They say he was super overrated and couldn't cover for anything if his life depended on it. According to them, that's why his tackles were so high because he was doing it from behind constantly lol.

The guy from Maryland was statistically bad. Obviously Kiffin saw something in him. I think his PFF grade for example, was low. Right side of that line is a big concern. Middle is rock solid at C and you know what Seaton is at left side.

LSU's bullpen is going to have a lot of questions to fill this year. Starters on paper look good maybe even day 3 guy and possibly even a 4th guy. Bullpen though? You losing tons of experience here. Cowan, Sheerin, Guidry, etc.

Would've traded UF and Auburn vs. LSU every year instead of TAMU/Ole Piss every year. Liked those 2 rivalries more. TAMU has kinda owned us lately but I've never really viewed that as a strong rivalry even before.

Depth wise maybe you could argue DL has a lot of questions. Starters? Not as much. You have guys on that line with SEC experience so at minimum you have that to draw on.
CB is the position group that's thinnest in my opinion on depth. Biggest starter questions would go to WR, OL, and the QB room. Leavitt is coming off a major injury and he has never played in the SEC. The guys behind him we have 0 idea what they can do.
WR is an entirely new room starters and depth wise. We have absolutely no idea what this group will have until we see it. On paper, definitely talented but what can they do?
OL the entire right side is a huge concern especially since Davis is returning who being generous here, looked absolutely clueless at times last year. He played better on the back end but he was still bad. Seemed like something bad would always happen even when he did something right. I saw him block someone last year, drove them to the ground, then he fell into the back legs of his OL teammate and hurt him.

re: Anything good to do in Oxford Mississippi ?

You probably never visited Oxford if you feel like it's that. Don't like Ole Miss but Oxford is probably one of the best spots in Miss alongside the entire region. It's a nice town.

It's perfectly fine to seek your money in a contract obligation. I don't have issue with that. My issue with this is them making a public statement to try to make LSU look bad. The payout is peanuts why would you not just ask LSU to pay it for them other than to try to embarrass LSU? Ole Miss fans should be embarrassed at that institution at how they're handling things. Just get over it, your ex wants nothing to do with you.
re: any chance guidry comes back?
Posted by friendlyobservation on 7/13/26 at 10:31 pm to Tigerpride18
Don't think he's coming back. We're looking at a big problem with relief next year as far as experience goes. We're losing a lot of experience regardless how you feel about Guidry.

Serna will be top homerun hitter for LSU this year. Has more power than Bide already.
