He's a dual threat did you expect anything else?

What? Braun wasn't terrible in the OF.

Maybe if Yeskie didn't go 12 straight same pitches from Jump he would've got the out.

Kiffin's response :rotflmao:
The only coach I've seen in these type of videos who took it really well was Napier who would joke with the guys that do it. I don't blame Kiffin for his response especially with all the death threats he probably has alongside his family.
Not specifically this video itself but that fanbase is psycho.

You have what, maybe 30 responses in that thread? Not exactly representation of the downvotes as most clearly didn't respond. Should be a hint right there.

I'd imagine you got downvotes for entirely different reasons for people disliking coach O at that time. The presentation of that thread with the content in your post likely alongside timing had more to do with downvotes than people actually disliking coach O. I'd also imagine most didn't think it was realistic for obvious reasons same with Wade.

Actually kinda surprising to see some of these. I think the main thing is the pitchers absolutely did not help catching this year. Some of the ball positions were just nowhere near their locations.
I will say it sticks out more with guys like Bide's glove because it feels like he does this quite often where he will drop a strike 3 right down the piper and it's so frustrating lol. I can remember one earlier where he made an amazing foul catch out then next pitch he drops a fastball right down the middle.

Because the light came on for Braun at the right time. Up to that point, he wasn't exactly tearing the cover off the ball.
Those are the 3 you need to build around for next year. Braun, Serna, Bide. Now if only Serna and Bide would develop a glove.
We need an elite SS somewhere, 3B, and 2nd. Someone needs to push Ruckert until he proves he can be a reliable glove in the infield.

I guess you think we should do the same for soccer? The most played sport in the world that's popular everywhere except the US.
What do you not understand? These sports are not popular to Americans. It's not hard to see and there's very little you can do to improve it other than Americans deciding to make it more popular.
The US government had programs and pools to find elite talent in these sports, train them as kids, and it ultimately never allowed them to get popular. Americans do not care about sports like tennis. The best it has done is show results in Olympics.

You get downvoted for a reason because you seem to be very shortsighted to the actual benefits if you think there's zero reason.

Is this serious? I fully expect LSU to lose some unexpected players in the portal with this season. I could definitely see him making a jump over. I hope not.

Always gets hot around this time. Don't forget he was a big reason we won several games in CWS especially game 1 against CC.

What's his natural position catcher? If he is, does he have a good glove? I don't see them snagging a C without them having a really good glove or either Bide/Serna leave unexpectedly.

re: Regarding Schmidt…
Posted by friendlyobservation on 5/21/26 at 12:11 pm to OGTiger
I'm sure he was in a lot of pain in order to miss his start like that. It's a pretty common problem I saw that was complaining about stiffness in his back. Hopefully it's not something worse with the way Jay reports on these things.
That said, separate to this issue, Schmidt needs to grow mental fortitude. He has no composure on the mound. In order for LSU to be as bad as they are this year you have to look at the entire team. Guys like Ruckert and Schmidt collapsing in big situations is partly why we're at where we are.
He falls to pieces at the first sign of adversity on the mound. This is where he needs to improve going into next season. Guy has great stuff just trust yourself. I'm hoping he makes as big of a leap as he did this year development wise and he does, we have our Friday guy. That said, I'd be more comfortable if LSU got at least 1 stud starter in the portal.
Evans was hit or miss this year, Schmidt had big progression but definitely had lots of spots where mental barriers hurt him, and we don't know what Moore is going to do coming back off injury. You absolutely have to take at least 1 stud starter in portal in my opinion.

People keep posting this. It's a one year rental. Why would he risk his career to get the same pay he's getting starting out MLB career or even just slightly more at LSU? He's gone.
LSU going to have a really tough job replacing him in the portal. People in here suggested Ruckert at SS. That's an experiment I absolutely do not want to see right now until he proves he has a glove.

Personally not convinced on him. I'm hoping LSU gets a good one in the portal just in case. Not saying Ruckert won't develop but this wasn't a single thing. It was an all year thing. He collapsed several times in big moments and cost us games. Going into next year in hopes he develops into what we think he will is partly why we experienced our problems this year with guys like Bide behind the plate.

He's not going to be here next year. He'll be drafted.

Neither is paying players millions to be professionals when they're clearly not. LSU didn't create this problem they're just navigating it and treating it like they should be. Don't hate them because they're smarter than everyone else and doing what a business should to survive the new era.
