Yellafellow is Auburn but you are right about his problem. Everyone, including Bama fans, knew this is why he was whining. They are sitting at 38th in recruiting and behind half the conference. He's probably not hearing what he wants from recruits and blew up.

I doubt it's Jr. Many of Bamas donors are not publicity hounds and come from diverse backgrounds.

Your real problem with boosters using NIL to buy players is that the vast majority of NCAA member institutions won't accept that. Neither will the SEC. Your team needs the SEC more than the SEC needs your team.

A lot of rich donors don’t mind giving to facilities and stuff like that, but many have no desire to give their money to an 18 year old.

So you seem to be fine with sports becoming just buying championships? Guess the good thing about this is I will have a lot more free time to do other things.

Alabama as it pertains to football is incrediblt wealthy. The cashflow from 15 years of bcs/playoff money, sold out 100k games etc....

But if you think the ncaa will let a hand full of boosters control ncaa football you are crazy.

Those states would have least to lose. Jim Rogers says agriculture has bright future and southeast is rich with farmland.

Your entire thread derailed before it even got going because you demonstrated your lack of knowledge in the first sentence of the OP.

Scholarship limits were gonna end Bama as a football power. Bear and Bama couldn’t grab everyone and just to keep them from other teams.

The 25 a year limit would keep Saban from doing the same.

Now the new hope is NIL.

When will people realize Bama will always be a power? Why? They care more than your team. They care enough they kill people and trees over football games. They will adapt

If what the OP says is true and Bama can't compete then no one else is going to be able to compete either.......at that point legislators will weigh in and reign this shite in.

In 5 years or less, A&M and the Whorns will basically buy 90% of every NC awarded. Y'all keep talking about A&M but UT is rich as frick too. That's another reason of why letting them in is a humongous mistake.

It's still illegal to pay players to play at your school. You clearly have the same understanding of NIL that your head coach does. He thinks it's a license to buy players.

So you think both programs have been clean until now and haven’t been trying to use all that money to win up to this point?

There is no way … NO way … not in this or any known solar system that Congress or the courts are going to do one thing to impede the earning power of athletes given who they predominantly are and where they predominantly come from. It … ain’t … happening. Ever. Period. Drop that mic and kick it across the room.

You want to find a “solution,” any “solution” starts from that irrevocable bottom line.

And no, it’s not a positive for the sport, and yes, it’s completely leaving fans out of the discussion, but it is what it is.
