Reporter on Arkansas radio who has family member in The Elephant Club (apparently only for the high level boosters and they get perks such as private talks with Saban and ability to watch practice, etc) just said that Saban has told the members in confidence that this year's team is the best team he's ever had and that the gap in talent is getting bigger and bigger from everyone else.
Said the new WRs are studs and that his D-line is unreal. Told them don't worry about qb, the team will take care or itself.
Just a little insight from from the Natural State, take the message as you will.

Only reason I doubt this is because Saban has never been this complimentary of a team until they win a national championship

These statements were apparently made in private. In sure his honesty and tone is quite different in a setting like that.

Yeah. I don't believe Saban would even say anything of that nature...even to boosters. He won't feed his own team rat poison.

Those meetings are mostly to pump sunshine to wealthy boosters and make them feel like their time and money are worth it.
That said, I wouldn't quite say it is real "honesty" that is relayed within those meetings or fully trust that those paying to be/feel like "insiders" aren't stretching the truth a bit themselves after the fact.

He quite literally doesn't talk this way. To anyone. Because he doesn't think this way. Nick Saban thinking/saying "don't worry about _________".

Total BS. Saban would never admit this to himself (even though it is probably true), much less say it to someone else.
