Coach writes character letter for former player.

That Saban didn't find out the facts and dashed off a letter is probably not true.
This reflects very poorly on Saban given the seriousness of the charges.

You want to see a really big piece of shite? I give you Bobby Bowden.

The husband of a rape victim said Friday he's outraged that Florida State coach Bobby Bowden wrote a letter on behalf of the attacker, a former player who faces resentencing next month.
Michael Gibson, once a running back for the Seminoles, was sentenced to life in prison in 1994 for his attack on a woman who was shot, raped, robbed and left for dead in her apartment a few days before Christmas in 1993.
Gibson, 30, received six life sentences. Four were for rape, one was for armed burglary and one was for attempted felony murder.

Oh you're leaving out the best part - Gibson's younger stepbrother was a highly recruited HS player (Ernie Sims III) who coincidentally signed with FSU.

I remembered he was recruiting someone in his family, but couldn't remember who. There really wasn't a bigger slimeball than Bowden.

Oh, they are very real, and they are legion. Take it from someone who's spent half his life in that state.

The gumshoes on the Bama board have cracked the case

It very well could be statements from his “buddies” and this entire thing rests on that. They could be using Arnold as their fall guy

I can see a situation where he is having a Clark Griswold level blowup over the stolen stuff and who he thinks stole it and Bokai (cousin Eddie) takes that as an order and goes out and does something stupid.

Terrion was asleep in bed while Bokai hatched the plot to curry favor with Arnold and acted alone without explicit instructions.

frick all of that. IF he is found guilty of that crime, there should be no leniency because of a football team. That's insane.
Just like all alcoholics who tormented their families and drove drunk over and over endangering 1000's of lives should be locked up even though they are suffering from a disease because statistics show that about 90 percent will not stay sober?

The disease is lack of accountability and it has apparently already broke your dick off.

Saban wouldn't write the court if he was unsure what Arnold is accused of. Saban is not the kind of man to not know. Heading off any future backlash is my guess.
