https://www.al.com/sports/2026/06/nick-saban-writes-letter-of-support-for-cornerback-facing-8-felony-charges.html

quote:

During Terrion Arnold’s pretrial detention hearing on Monday, his defense team handed Chief Judge Christopher C. Sabella a stack of paper that contained testimonials to the character of the Detroit Lions cornerback as he faced eight felony charges in Florida. Among the 12 letters was one written by Arnold’s former college coach. The cornerback played for Nick Saban at Alabama from the 2021 through the 2023 season before leaving for the NFL as a first-round draft pick, and the coach lauded Arnold for his “exceptional character” in advocating for his pretrial release.

quote:

“Based on my experiences with Terrion, I remain committed to supporting him. While I’m not overly familiar with or educated on the charges he is facing, and understand the seriousness of his situation before the court, I would respectfully ask the Court to take into account my experience with Terrion, his character, history and the positive impact he had on our program.”

quote:

Arnold has been charged with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of kidnapping, one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

frick all of that. IF he is found guilty of that crime, there should be no leniency because of a football team. That's insane.

that Saban is a great guy

for the Lions to release him without waiting on court system tells you all you need to know
zero tolerance from the Lions

I'm surprised the Chiefs haven't signed him yet
Kelce can wear his free Terrion tshirt to camp

The Bama board thread on this is a good read. On poster swearing he couldn’t have done this because he reported his bible stolen Another is claiming this is a symptom of DAs across the country being too aggressive

Does the court know that Arnold didn't grow up with AC?

Saban has no shame.

He has done worst for former student athletes of his.

DJ Pettway was among 4 football players that attacked and robbed mutiple Alabama students

But Saban had too much use for a high potential DL so he got him re-enrolled right back into school after a wrist slap.

He used some second chance excuse for Jonathon Taylor as welll. He got kicked off at Georgia just to ended up kicked off for hitting women again! But his run stoppage potential was elite. Or something.

Reading is hard, so let me see if I can help you out.

Well, it looks like he wrote a testimonial that speaks to Terrion's character, history, and positive impact he had on the Bama program. He wasn't writing a letter opining on the guilt or innocence of Arnold.

Character testimonials at bail hearings are completely normal.

Perfect timing to bring up one of Saban's best speeches to the media.

One guy is lamenting the fact that this is going to be cannon-fodder for the "auburn controlled state media.

There is no way these are real people.

They rendered Bama students unconscious and robbed them.

Dont call that a mistake.

Call it evil.

There's a side that's notoriously slack on crime, especially crime committed by a certain demographic, and they don't vote R.
