#1 JT Daniels:
Will have his first year under his belt and know the system really well now. Has several key weapons coming back. He’s number 1 for now.

#2 Myles Brennan:
Was putting up outstanding numbers in his first 3 starts ever. If he’s fully healthy he should shine. As LSU returns the most experienced O line in the SEC.

#3 Matt Corral:
Showed some flashes last season. You could argue he was the 3rd best QB behind Jones and Trask. Turnovers is what cost him. Ole miss will return some players so we will see if he can clean that up.

#4 Bryce Young:
Has some potential, highly rated coming out of High School. Sat back and learned, but will have to deal with new coaches this season and learn more for them. I think 4 is a fair slot for him.

#5 Will Rodgers:
Has potential. Miss state played better with him. Made some nice throws in the UGA game that I watched. Another year with Leach could be good for him. You could argue someone else but for me He’s in the 5th spot to start.

Those are mine.

JMHO but I'd put Bazelak ahead of Rodgers.

Corral in year 2 under Kiffin will likely lead the SEC.

It was neck and neck for those 2 guys. I even thought maybe Nix . Really it’s anybodys spot for 5. I think the top 4 that I listed are clearly ahead.

Matt corral was number three in that nation in QBR.

He threw ten interception in two games. The rest of the year he threw three.

He led the country in most yards per game too.

If Matt Corral becomes more protective of the football I don’t see how he doesn’t become number 1 QB in sec. until I see Bryce play for real I’m not putting him above any returning QB for sure.

I haven’t looked, but I haven’t heard much regarding Brennan’s recovery.. any true word on the kid?

Looking at that list tells me there is a crapload of uncertainty at QB in the SEC this upcoming year.

Not really. LSU fans might get excited by him throwing for 400 yards but it’s less impressive when you realize how much he threw the ball.

His 8.5 yards per attempt is very pedestrian, as is his 60.8% completion percentage. His 3rd down numbers are god awful. He’s also 1-2 as a starter against teams that are a combined 8-22. So no, there’s nothing really impressive about Brennan.

1. JT Daniels
2. Matt Corral
3. Bryce Young
4. Myles Brennan
5. Bazelak

I haven’t read much. I think he might have had surgery or was contemplating it. Should be fully healthy for 2021 without a doubt.

He’ll be ready to go next season. But he has a lot of competition. His mobility may be in jeopardy going forward

I think due to the nature of Leach's offense, Rogers will have a significant Year 2 jump. Leach's best teams tend to be the ones with the most snaps under their belt. Just depends on how many skill players step up.

If by "showed some flashes" you mean was 3rd in the nation in QBR behind Jones and Fields, then yeah he showed some flashes. He had 2 bad games and we still almost won those games. He was on his 3rd OC in three years, and didnt have spring ball to learn Kiffin's offense. Corral is the best returning QB in the league and it's not close.

1-2 as a starter is not on him.
As he put up like 34 41 and 41 in his first 3 starts. Threw 11 TDs which was maybe the top in the SEC at that time. I was very impressed knowing that this is his first real starting game action. Brennan is a top 3 SEC QB preseason. You could argue Corral over him I guess.

So going 0/11 on 3rd down vs Mizzou is acceptable?

Myles Brennan was pedestrian. Last year. Bad on 3rd down. Lots of empty calorie yards on a lot of attempts.

That completion percentage is pretty mediocre as well for a 4th year player in a season that saw record breaking completion percentage from another SEC QB.

If he is LSU's starter then they are only a 8 or 9 win team.

Is Myles Brennan even going to start? I liked what I saw out of Johnson to be honest.
