Catching has to be better. You squeeze the mitt on 3 pitches and you win this game.
Columbia this past year was one of my favorite roadtrips. That being said, the stadium was like Vandy, but a real program. Take that for what it’s worth.

We are probably a regional Jody top 20-25 team but not a top 8 national seed. We have the bats but not the pitching depth to be that good

This is asinine. We’re halfway through the season and are in the top of nearly every significant category. You can throw SOS out the window. We’re a legit team and so is Georgia. You’re being reactionary.

Ump was terrible for both teams tonight. Just zero consistency all around. Catcher play lost it for State tonight. 3 runs on pass balls. Will be the reason we can’t make a serious run. Hats off to Georgia. I’m proud of the way we competed, this team has no quit. We’ll see what we’re made of tomorrow and Saturday.
Selmon has a long way to go before being considered best in the SEC, but his stock is certainly rising.
I'm gonna say this as a fan of a team with one, but the way Final 4's are celebrated and touted is weird for a 3rd/4th place trophy imo.
Good, I hope our team uses it as motivation with Georgia coming to town.

I can’t wrap my head around it.

Rankings don’t matter, but I find it incredible pollsters somehow think there are 4 teams in the SEC better than State. Teams ahead of us have dropped home games to mid majors. State is 17-0 at home.
As someone who lead a team to a CWS Final, Cohen's been pretty bad at Auburn.

MSU will likely be without their best pitcher this weekend.

Second best pitcher and I've said that before the injury. Valincius has looked much better imo. But your point stands, McPherson would be a massive hit to our rotation. Hopefully it's just a forearm strain and not something bigger.
The only viable option for State.

While I'm not a fan, Pat McAfee shouldn't be #1 solely because it's his schtick. He makes it abundantly clear to viewers that's his aim. The most annoying people are the ones who are oblivious to it, like 3-5.

Same kinda goes for Finebaum. IMO, Danny Kannel is equivocally the most annoying cheeseball on TV.
Keeping a close eye on how Arkansas batters fair with 2 strikes early in the game. They've struggled on 2 strike counts. If they piece a few hits together in that situation, I could see them building some steam. I think we drop today in a 5-3 type ball game, win tomorrow, and set up a slugfest Sunday.
Why do LSU fans support LSU? Interesting question, would not read again.

Thought this was an Ace Reese thread. I’ll see myself out.
