Yes, but not the one you're hoping for

Now we're getting to the important questions.

Staying at a hotel on the east side of 63. Good stuff on where to tailgate. We'll probably do downtown mid day for lunch, walk around campus towards the stadium and hopefully bump into a few cordial Tiger fans who will let us catch a glimpse of some midafternoon games before kickoff.

You wont have any problems getting free drink and food at tailgates if you just have a positive attitude. Big donors with the most free stuff are in the lots around the outside of the stadium.
This is the intel I'm looking for.

Sexton gets a lot of unwarranted credit for doing just exactly what anyone else with common sense would do.
His true genius was being a salesman to these coaches on the front end. Relationship business masked as financial and negotiation expertise.

The tailgating scene is scattered and confusing. Be prepared for that. Stadium is just south of campus
Is it parking lot tailgating? Might find myself walking around to chop it up with some Tigers.

there are several Sonics and the closest waffle house to the stadium in the SEC!

...That's exactly what he likes about OM. To your point though, that could wear thin on him if fans get too comfortable with their newfound status in the top 5 of the conference.
Help Needed: Gameday Guide for Columbia, Missouri

Heading to Columbia this weekend against my better judgement.
Mizzou will be the 13th SEC stadium where I've seen State play with only Florida, South Carolina, and Oklahoma left on the tour (all on the calendar for the next 3 years).
Looking for any gameday recommendations from both Mizzou and former visiting fans for bars/restaurants, tailgates, places/things to see.
Is there a Sonic nearby campus I can fight Mizzou ranters?
Any insight is appreciated

Every fanbase has those morons. There's not a single realistic State fan that wants Lebby fired.

He's predictable and complacent in his play calling. Almost seems at times he's calling plays thinking as if it's a chess match.
